Making BTS' Black Swan MV, but Tiny

- Basically they dropped Black Swan, I died, then realized it was filmed in the same theater as The Prestige and now here we are... making a tiny Los Angeles Theatre.
Truly cannot describe just how much I loved this music video, all that old-fashioned ornate imagery is really my thing- the music video is basically what I wanted my junior film in college to look like lol.

An admirable job modeling a very ornate subject. I was fortunate to spend several hours there when it was closed but fully lit. That main curtain is completely unique, with the people's clothing made of the actual fabrics in 3 dimensions. Impossible to model to scale without some really finely woven cloth. The oval room is actually in the basement with lighted "skylights", doors off each side enter into the restrooms! Thanks for pointing to a MV I had not seen. If you're interested in doing another theater, or metal leaf, you might want to look at the Pantages lobby.
Theater is all about illusion. In the UK we have some of the oldest theatre's in the world. Their scenery and costume departments are phenomenal with their attention to detail. Very much like your creations. Another great post, thanks.
Absolutely, I've always loved theater! Have done just a little bit of work on theater sets and it was wonderful, creating new worlds like that is the most fun.

Genuinely still quite happy with how the painting turned out especially considering I was going into it with pretty low expectations lol. Really happy you liked it! And of course, support and listen to most genres of music outside of country hahaha, gotta throw in a bit of everything~

Even the most ornate of architecture can be created with simply... cereal boxes. Hahaha thank you so much, I really thought the curtain was going to be a disaster when I started painting it. Turned out better than expected!

Tbh, really wish I could stand to be less detail-oriented, feels like I drive myself a little crazy sometimes. I envy people that don't overthink everything lol.

I admire your ability to replicate the same thing over and over! I get stressed when I have to do two of the same thing!! (Like arms or legs) 💜
Hahaha I think I both love it and hate it- sometimes it is nice to have a break in trying to problem solve and figure out how you need to build things, but it can get really tedious. Arms and legs are a lot harder than making a bunch of bricks or shingles though, so I understand that~

I am seriously confused as to how you are not more popular among Armys. I mean, you never show in my recommendations related to BTS. The only reason I found you was because I was looking at diorama videos. 🤔 Such nice work. 💜
Hahaha truthfully I don't understand how recommendations on youtube work at all. I think now especially it's super hard to find any kind of video if it's not from an already established creator? With BTS content majorly because there are so many people making really cool related content. You deserve so much more love subscribers and views because you're really so freaking talented in craft and sing like the Black Swan miniature was so cool that I just wanted to put my bts dolls (I have modified them into the reals one sorry not sorry Mattel) with their Black Swan costume (I have make a bunch of their era costume) and play with theme as recreating the MV seriously your so amazingly talented!

Beautiful and amazing. Your dedication to projects is inspiring and a little scary. The production values for your videos are excellent and well balanced. The Prestige is one of my favorite movies too. David Bowie was amazing in it. The whole cast was.

Hahahaha a little scary is definitely accurate! Seriously The Prestige is an absolute masterpiece, the acting was great and aside from that the production design, cinematography, etc... ugh all so beautifully done. Ok maybe 5000 might be overestimating, it's likely closer to a few hundred. Still, a lot! Appreciate all the nice words so much, really glad you could enjoy!

The lobby is definitely incredibly beautiful, it seems like it would be super difficult to make tbh haha. I was actually considering doing the lobby, but I changed my mind once I saw the carpet pattern- so difficult to paint!

Long ago the carpet used to completely red velvet color then remodeled the whole entire carpet in 2017

Depends on the shadow, but the ones with the person are greenscreened! Other shadow effects are practical!
