I feel like this is a success recipe. He has been im the league for 3 years already and knows the league and players well. He has proven with Villareal that he can go straight into a new team and score. Villareal is a mid-table team, making it all the more impressive. None of his goals have come from a penalty as well. On the national team he always plays on the flanks, so he's more versatile than Haaland.

Many reasons. Firstly lack of cynicism. Not good enough defenders. The French referee/VAR team in the Spain - Norway were bought. During Covic Norway was the only European team to self-impose strict rules for travelling, meaning none of the players in the first team squad played against Austria as they were in Oslo and now allowed to fly out of Oslo, and it also meant we played a home game against Turkey in Gibraltar. Haaland being injured for a number of games, and at one point around 10 players form the first team squad was injured. There is also bad luck and margins involved. Possession and other stats support that. This will change, trust me.
Sounds like excuses we Norwegians have been coming up with the last 24 years. Meanwhile Finland and Iceland manage to qualify. We’re just not good enough as a team.
