The closest thing we have to a Dazzler series right now is the original Jem cartoon. The early Dazzler comics, which came out before that show, actually bear some strong similarities -- with the exception that Dazzler's powers are mutant, not technological, and she doesn't have an emotionally-abusive, purple-haired Ken doll to lie to and be mistreated by.
It would be interesting to see her pass for human and eventually be outed as a mutant

You got Magik, the coolest one on this list, COMPLETELY wrong. First off, teleport disks are her mutant power. She got the sorcery from being trained in Limbo, where she became their leader, not just Sorcerer Supreme. And you forgot the part where she freaking grew up there.
Thank you! I was specifically looking in the comments to see if someone would point out what idiots watchmojo is!! Sorcery is not her mutant power, is a by-product; something she learned in Limbo when she was captured and trapped there. Then she had her own personal coup and took over.

These are fairly well known characters. I was expecting some underrated X-Men that have hardly had any exposure in mainstream media, like M, Chamber, Cypher, Nocturne, The Stepford Cuckoos....and a long list of etc.

Fantomex, Dazzler, & Magik have been in a lot of other series other than X-Men. They're well known these days. The latter two are involved the the IvsX story now out. Danielle is also gonna be in the New Mutants film soon as well as Legion is getting a show this month.
Actually, almost all of these mutants are pretty well-known. Nate Grey played a big role in the 90s X-men/Avengers crossover event battling the monstrous entity of Onslaught. (Loved that series by the way). Longshot, as shown in the video, was featured in the 90s X-men animated series, and also in several comicbook stories and groups (like the Exiles volume one). Everyone should be familiar with the rest in this video. Who doesn't know Forge, Sunfire, Danielle Moonstar, Dazzler and Cannonball by now?

Niall Reid fair enough. I thought you might be trolling. I've recently picked up Xmen again ahead of the new Gold/Blue teams. Blackbolt's big power is his voice, Dazzler absorbs this and turns it back on him. Death of X is an easy 4 comic run if you want an easy pick up to get involved. Inhumans vs Xmen is what it leads to.

Dazzler is likely one of the characters that they used to create the premise for Jem. Her original comic book was very similar.
In fact, one of the applications of her sound-to-light power is...wait for it...the projection of fully realistic, three-dimensional holograms.

Darwin has always been my favorite mutant. Hate what they did to him in First Class, still pissed about it. His adaptive/reactive abilities has always been a personal favorite of mine; forgot adamantium claws, controlling metal or manipulating the weather. ✌️O.o

Dazzler was definitely the first character to come to mind, since I remember seeing her as a playable character in the "X-Men" arcade game released by Konami. :)

You've literally picked the most well known members that aren't recognisable to people outside of comics. Forge, Dazzler,Fantomex, Rachel Summer, Magik, Cannonball, Jamie Madrox. These are all extremely regular members of various Xmen teams and have been for years. I don't buy any of the xmen comics but I still know who all these characters are because they are so popular. You might as well make the same list for Inhumans and put Auran, Unspoken, Reader in the top 3
I’ve always had an interest in Nate Grey aka The X-Man. He seems like a really awesome character, and really badass! Also, I like the fact that he’s basically what Cable was supposed to be.

While I was growing up, she was Rachel Summers, but she never really stood out to me before she took the Grey surname.
it is amazing that the list still has mad footage to accompany it...I agree with the underrated nature of all characters listed which is a testament to the 1990s animated series

When I watched Dark Phoenix in theaters with my boyfriend I freaked when Dazzler made her cameo. My boyfriend looked at me confused and said "Who's that?" I told him we may have to break up (we didn't, but I gave him grief for the rest of the evening for not knowing this awesome character).
What about Morph
Morph was never a mainstream-universe X-Man. His counterpart, Changeling, died back in the 60s serving as an impersonator of Professor X.

Monet St Croix is so underrated IMO. She is literally the "perfect" mutant, with super-strength/speed/agility/intelligence and telepathy and that reflects on her selfish personality. She's a complex character that deserves more love.

I think he's overrated, even as "obscure" as he is. All complicated backstory and powers, no personality to speak of -- he was Morrison's attempt to parody the 90s-era badass, before fans missed the point and took him seriously despite that.

Legion is on the cusp of being a household name. Dazzler and Longshot are two of my favorite comic book characters

Longshot is my favorite x man. . His physical traits history and powers are all very interesting. Lol my second favorite is a honorable mention. Karma. Her power is one that could cause total chaos if misused. Both characters have potential for unique stories and situations.

Correction for y'all regarding Legion. You said he suffers from Dissociative Personality Disorder, but the correct name for that diagnosis is Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly referred to as Multiple Personality Disorder).
Polaris, Eclipse, Thunderbird and Blink. All from my favorite x men tv show The Gifted.
I know I might be the only one here, but I've always hoped that one day they would put Kevin Sydney aka "Morph" in any one of the movies, because not only for his incredible range of powers but the fact that he was Wolverine's best friend, and the storyline would've been epic, from being a great X-men to seemingly killed by sentinels to where Mr.Sinister finds him and brainwashes him and comes back as a villain and then all the X-men reminding him who he was/is and finally returned to them and help them fight against Mr.Sinister.
All of that only happened in the 90s cartoon. The mainstream comics never even gave him a name past "Changeling" and killed him off early on in the X-Men's run.
The Exiles Morph is fairly cool, but he's so peripheral to the X-Men universe, and unrecognizable compared to his TV counterpart, that he might as well be his own character.
I would always vote for Age of Apocalypse Blink. She was awesome. And even in Days of Future Past, she didn't get much by way of screen-time.
Haven't heard of a few of these. Must b from after I got out of comics in the very early '90s. Both Majik and Cannonball were pretty well known in the '80s, especially Majik who had her own comic mini-series.

Dudes People should know all about Legion as the character is the focus of its own fox tv series of the same name. Everything from the costume, sets, script and Direction and editing are brilliant. Dan Stevens plays David. I believe that the series has been commissioned for a second season.
I see ForgetMeNot's abilities also work on Watch Mojo lists.
Don't worry if you don't remember them at all, because... well, it's only natural. ForgetMeNot's ability is being forgotten as soon as people lose sight of them. To make things more interesting, they have no control over it, so it's almost like they don't exist. While it's possible to track them with physical means, their presence and ability affects video recordings, as well as telepathic abilities to an extent. Hey, when Professor X has to set up a mental reminder of their existence to go off every hour, you know just how powerful their ability can be.

Legion is in fact in the movie Split. At the end of Split you see Mr. Unbreakable from the movie Unbreakable which is in fact a marvel character. The wierd thing is that its the same actor for young Professor X and Legion when Professor X is Legions father.

Ah, Nate Grey. How gnarled is the Summers family tree? Scott and Jean have three kids. Each of the three is an only child. And Scott and Jean have never had any kids.
Also, I mostly remember Dazzler from the arcade game as a kid. Her mutant attack is insanely powerful, just nuking every enemy over about a fourth of the whole field of play. I was surprised to find that in the comics she's a C-lister who everyone was surprised to see appear in a game at all. And in the comics, she really is that powerful! Sound into light and light into sound means the sound of a traffic jam can basically be turned into a Death Star laser, or the light of a sunny day into a Hulk-grade shockwave. Add to that flight and holograms (though anything that precise is hard) and *how the hell is she not an A-list member?* She's one of the strongest on the team, and potentially, under the right conditions, one of the strongest characters of all (without getting into the way-above-everything cosmic entities. She's no multiverse-spanning reality alterer, but she *could* totally blast Thanos a new one if the fight took place on, say, a spaceship getting dangerous close to the sun.)
