I suspect I have pots my heart rate jumps to 135 when standing have to stay still for 20 secs for it to calm down . I also have high heart rate when eating and drinking goes to 130. My blood pressure tends to increase when standing. I notice towards the night my symptoms are so much less almost non symptomatic. I also have Crohn's how would you recommend going about fixing this what to look at and sources to check that may help?

I am type 1 diabetic with pots. My symptoms definitely correlate with my sugar levels! It’s so so so tough to regulate my numbers tho:( my bp is fine and meds make me feel worse but my heart rate changes when I eat and sugar is high

I am type 1 diabetic too with recent POTS diagnosis. I kind of always feel terrible though whether my sugar is high or low. Heart rate goes high whether it’s high or low.

I just felt like I was having a POTS episode at the same time as a hypoglycemic episode which caused me to google whether they are correlated. Glad to have found this! I also tested positive for Lyme and Bartonella infections which were treated with an 8 week protocol including antibiotics. I have not retested though since

But how do you help them? I've had POTS symptoms (still not properly diagnosed) for 19 yrs. Higher blood sugar 14? yrs (not diabetec yet but runs in family), NASH/MASH LIVER since 2016?
Crohn's, Migraines, Acid Reflux (was on PPIs for 10+ yrs), NASH liver, Vertigo/motion sickness, had Orthostatic Hypotension (now resolved), strong POTS symptoms - HR goes up 30-63 every time I stand up.

I have found a correlation between glucose and pots, and also between melatonin and pots, and for sure, chronic inflammation with pots... I have to tell you that severe symptoms of pots I was experiencing, suddenly dropped after curcumin intake in food... ten minutes after my first dish using curcumin and most of the symptoms had relieved... it's crazy, because I couldn't even stand up from bed, but after this food, I could go upstairs in 10-story buildings... my symptoms came back after some changes in my diet... I started suspecting sugar and fructose, and also greasy foods... right now, I'm not so sure, but I'm with trials, seeing if excluding certain things make me feel better somehow... I have experienced many weird symptoms, and my sugar levels are constantly fluctuating, mostly downwards... this is crazy... it's like my body is crazy.

The cardiologist I saw laughed at me and told me if i had POTS i would know it by now, I was 43, he didnt ask me about my symptoms, he didn’t do a tilt table test, he wouldn’t give me beta blockers, he said I maybe had vasovagal syncope. The neurologist diagnosed me properly a few months later but no continued treatment or medication, just a three page pamphlet of tips and tricks and I was out the door. It seems like POTS is played down a lot including by me, but the more I learn the more serious and debilitating it sounds.

Wow... ridiculous!! Autoimmunity can go YEARS without being diagnosed... or sometimes isn't even diagnosed at all! Doctors and us alike are not properly educated on these topics. How are you doing now? Do you still have any symptoms?

I started having pot’s symptoms after doing water fasts to shrink my fibroids 😩 I definitely believe it’s a connection to low blood sugar

Yes, blood sugar and POTS can be connected 100%. You might find this link to our blood sugar stack useful drmaggieyu.com/transform-sugar-stack :) If you don't mind me asking, what symptoms have you been experiencing?

Is this doctor loading people up with thiamine , sodium , magnesium ? I had exactly this and very very low aldosterone due to high oxalate diet. Lots of people with chronic infection have this too. SALT WASTING / salt loss.

Blood sugar doesn't cause pots! However there is a connection.

What causes it then? Cause there has to be a cause its not just ur autonomic system isnt working and if thats the case hormones and blood sugar can cause that system to not work

She doesn’t eat enough. She has insufficient food in her diet and NO carbs at all.
You need carbs for your brain to operate. Everything she does is low carb or no carb.
