Just a quick question, the first bike you bought for 275 and sold for 450. Did you do any work on it or just took better pictures. How do you make that big of a profit without breaking the bank on upgraded parts ? Thanks a lot man, love your vids
I've been getting a lot of questions like this on this video, so I'm going to be posting another one on this and talk more about how to find good deals like these.
@@thomasleguerrier5659I know this is very late but pictures do help. I bought a gt aggressor that the seller was having trouble selling, he had it up for 4 weeks or something. I bought it cleaned it up and took really good pictures and I got like 4000 offers and sold it in 2 days for full price.
Thanks bro, u rly helped me planning my bike business. i started flipping mtbs a month ago, and already got 950€ profit out of it. As a student i'm like the rich sugardaddy at school now lol
Just bought this same bike online from a shop in Salt Lake City, might have been the same shop you went to. Having it shipped and can't wait! It's hard to find reviews of this bike so thanks for the review and info.
Nice work on the flips. I have been doing the same thing for years and it has helped me fund all my hobbies. This last year since Covid it has been much harder to find good deals, but they are still out there.
Awesome video man, I just started in the business I already have a $6K bike from my mom, then started buying less value bike to fix up and sell for more.
2015-2020 i did this wid used bmx bikes... but the market got overflooded everybody was trying the same to flip old 80s bmx bikes... recently i wanted to build me mtb and saw with mtb there are even worse price differences then with bmx bikes back then... if u have a good eye and know how to technically fix things theres alot of money in flipping used mtb... just look for really cheap bikes with high components like xt gears or chris king parts cant do much wrong here...
I commented on your other video. I had the same talon this fall. Paid 200 for it and resold it for 500. Seller put a lot of upgrades on it. I'd say your probably shouldn't have traded that farley unless there was deferred maintenance. Treks sell a lot easier than Scott's. I can definitely understand why you were flipping these bikes but your margins were light. During covid I averaged 240 net profit per bike I sold. I sold roughly 400 bikes that year. I've increased my margins substantially. My margins this year off 16 bikes are 800 each. Huge outliers. I've sold 3 bikes so far this year to make 2k profit each. If you continue doing this in the future I would definitely stay in the niche you were selling. Entry level mountain bikes and sub 1k gravel etc. Is a great place to be. You gotta be where people have money to spend and dont insist on trading.
i bought an entry level hardtail new 5 years ago for $560 when i was learning to mtb and i used it a lot, i just recently sold it for $1000, then bought a dirt jumper. new for $1000 and a month later i sold it for $2000
I have been doing something similar for the last 5 summers. I use it to fund my bike and bike tool addiction as well as keep my kids riding good bikes at no cost. My goal is to turn it into a full time gig eventually.
I tuned up and/or repaired every one of these bikes before re-selling. If something was broken or would need replacement I told the buyer exactly what it was and usually took a loss on the bike.
Thumbs down on this because the narrator never tells us how he was able to sell for more money, did he replace components ? which ones, did he improve the cosmetics? what ? totally useless.
Almost every single one of these I bought because I knew they were listed under market value and most likely wouldn't need to do anything to them except maybe wash the dirt off and adjust the shifter cable tension. I don't think that I replaced components on a single one of these bikes except for the 2015 Spearfish because I rode it for so long and blew the rear shock.

Nice upload
I’m more of a beach cruiser guy 😂
*Seth's bike hacks wants to know you location*
Where do i look for bikes?
Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, any local classifieds is where I’ve found used bikes.
I does this with Dirt and mountain bikes, easy money.
I make 60k a year flipping bikes on the side, majority of bikes I make at least 1k profit or more.
Where do you aupply used bikes from if you don't mind me asking please 🙏
is it that easy?
Yes
So you rode bikes until they broke or needed work done, then sold them instead of fixing them? You’re a con artist. Nothing more, nothing less.

@@RideYearRound lol that was the most polite roast I’ve ever seen
Yeah - any tips on how to find such great deals? The ones you got seem outrageous!
