Wonderful video. When I heard of his passing a lump formed in my heart even though I’ve only seen 4 of his films and a couple episodes of twin peaks. I still have that lump in my heart today but it’s a little smaller as Im getting used to it. Great video and great tribute

Thank you for watching. It really did come as a shock and took me aback in spite of the recent reports of his ill health, it’s still a huge loss for film. Out of interest, what are the films of his you’ve seen and which are your favourites?

@ My favorite that I’ve seen is definitely blue velvet as it’s one of the ones I actually understand but I also really like eraser head just because of how weird it is
      I’ve only seen
      Blue velvet
      Eraser head
      Elephant man
      And inland empire

@@Nice2Meat_YouInland Empire is one I rarely hear people talk about, so that’s awesome that you’ve seen it. Eraserhead and Elephant Man are the films of his I want to watch most

Lynch is a filmmaker who I’ve only grown to appreciate more and more over time. At first I felt like he wasn’t really for me but the more I think about his work, the more I find myself connecting with it. Even something as weird as Eraserhead has been playing on my mind recently and I’ve grown to appreciate it more. But I absolutely loved watching Blue Velvet recently. It’s a truly fascinating film. The Elephant Man is my personal favourite though because of how empathetic and nice it is
His passing will leave a devastating impact on the arts for a long time

That’s super interesting to hear how your tastes have changed and seeing how much you appreciate his work more nowadays as opposed to when you were a bit younger. So glad you loved Blue Velvet. Eraserhead and Elephant Man are the two of his that I want to watch the most.

David Lynch is one of my favourite film-makers and when I heard of his death I was heartbroken. No one like David Lynch was working in cinema in the mid-70s and no one will ever be like him, people can try but there was a certain kind of magic - for lack of a better word - that cannot be replaced or replicated. He was one of the greats and he will be missed Great video as always @DCSMedia all the best

Absolutely on the money there Josh, he had this magic quality, he almost felt like a magician with the work he created. Thank you for watching, would love to know your favourite Lynch films?

My favourite is Blue Velvet, the reasons for which I delve into towards the end of this video, but yeah it’s a new all timer for me. I also really enjoy Wild At Heart and Mulholland Dr. is fantastic too.
You have some great selections there. Glad to see someone who really enjoys his version of Dune, even with its reputation I’d be interested to check it out. Plus I can’t wait to check out Twin Peaks soon.

@@DCSMedia Twin peaks is worth every minute and it comes highly recommended from me. In regards to Dune I know its not perfect but one of the things I love about it is yes the recent Dune films are better made and even better adaptations of Frank Herberts Novel David Lynch's version has a soundtrack by Toto who are famous for the song Africa which is one of the best songs of the 80s

@joshuawilliams7734ahh I didn’t know Toto did the music for it, but that’s cool. Rosanna’s another great song of theirs
