Thank you for the kind words and taking the time to watch. I almost threw that skillet away but I’m SO glad I restored it. I really enjoyed working on it and getting that cooking surface as smooth as butter and it is light years better than it was new. I’m sure yours will turn out the same. Thanks for your support and peace and blessings to you.
What’s up Big Dogg! Thanks for the support and hope you’re doing well. Give this method a go. It’ll have them things looking and cooking right. I hate the cooking surface on lodge cast irons. I like my surfaces smooth. I had mine outside and was gonna throw it away but decided to see if I could get it how I want it. Glad I kept it though. Thanks again Boss and God bless you 💯💯
Words of wisdom and next time I will be sure to do just that. I appreciate you taking the the time watch as well as your kind words and advice. Glad you enjoyed the content. Peace and blessings to you.
Nice sanding and smoothing the rusted pan!! Had to stop at 2 minutes. Mixing and acid and a base neutralizes any chemical effect each has. Doesn't do a damned thing, water and sand alone by would work tremendously better.
Yeah, I laughed. Nothing like making some water, carbon dioxide and a salt that just stays dissolved in the water. >< Olive oil too...not the best seasoning to use by any means. You can avoid the insane smoking that olive oil has at 500 degrees by getting a better higher temp oil. Also...safety first? Where's the guard/handle for that grinder? That being said, video creator got my view. Thanks.
Thank you for taking the time to watch, commenting and sharing your knowledge which is always welcomed here as I’m no cast iron expert LoL. I’m just sharing what worked for me as the skillet turned out beautifully. That being said, I know there is always a better way and hey, I thank you for sharing your method with us. Thank you again and God bless you.
Beautiful man! I am seasoning a cast iron right now.
