True! Now its a trend to buy base model and modify it to look like top end model. It's up to the owner what he wishes to do with the car.
My personal experience has been we had a dzire vxi (one just below top end) model. I had installed alloy wheels of zxi, sony touch screen, parking camera, I think all in all spent around 1 lak in mods. Mods were done in phases not all at once.
When I sold the car through true value I was told that the value will be held as per ex showroom price for my model at the time of buying. Even though I got a good price for the car, I feel its ultimately a financial loss if you heavily modify a car (base to top end) and expect good returns.
After this experience the next car I bought was a top end model with minimum accessories things that I really needed that's all.
Truevalue made u fool now they will tell buyers that this car have alloys, music system so for that they will get additional money in aftermarket
@@nkj9683 true value is a business so indeed they will make a good profit on it. To give you the whole picture, we bought the car at an onroad price of 6.89laks, with accessories by maruti the car was at 7.22laks at the time of buying in 2013.
Over the years I did the mods I mentioned previously and spent around 1lak.
When we decided to buy a new car this year, we were quoted 3.9laks by true value the car had done 55k kms in 9 years. I haggled a bit and got the price upto 4.1lak. I wanted 4.5laks for the car but that's when these guys told me that onroad price at the time of buying was around 6.8laks we cannot give you 4.5laks. There is no money for us.
The point is accessories and mods don't hold value what holds value is service history and a clean car without accidental claims or sign of damage including rust. I came to know this from a maruti service person whom I know personally. Even if you fully convert a vxi to a zxi the RC is not going to change.
True value at the end had put the car for sale at 4.45laks. I don't know what's the selling price.
I am personally happy with the price I got for it. Since I don't want to deal with rto formalities or bringing strangers home to show the car.

pehla point sahi bola influenced by utube videos. bohot sare log bolte hai kisi utuber ka video dekh ke gadi leli koi logical comparison nahi hota. kuch achi gadiyon ko ignore hi kar dete hai apne pre biased mind ki wajah se.
best hai budget decide karo aur fir utne mein jo bhi gadi aati hai sab test drive karo tabhi pata chalega kaunsi best fit hai. features pe jyada dhyan nahi dena chahiye but log ulta hi kar rahe hai.
Accessories wala point bhi sahi hai chinese maal laga ke saaf dikhta hai custom fitting aur woh car design ko compliment bhi nahi karte.

Coming of Ev cars
Petrol prices are now touching almost 100 after 5 years who knows may touch 120 . Also because of emission norms companies are having SUV in petrol .
suv in petrol is worst combo for mileage.
In meantime in next 1-2 years atleast 3-4 ev cars will come in budget 9 -14 lakhs.
so hold your money tight and wait for next year ...
Petrol already touched 100 and went above then back to 100 again don't know when it will be remain consistent.
About suv bigass ones will the causes don't know how much time diesel variants of them will exist but small size or crossover can manage to go further and improve in their own way like Toyota-suzuki did.
For ev, people who think cost will come down and everything will improve and efficient r living in dreams will get backfire as don't reconstruct the basic infrastructure needed to handle and set up for mass ev so that if buyer would want to get shift towards them and second when ev become mass populated then all ev related stuffs will eventually and inevitably will increase also with taxes related ice vehicles like we see as an example of fossil energy structure and most prominent example is land of freedom and democracy (fake, baloney, hypocrisy) USA and some eu countries
As per ur recommendatio I bought a car in Dec,2021...... Gagan ji u suggested that there will be a price increase in 2022.....The price of the model I purchased increased by Rs.1lac . Thanks for ur helpful videos

I've seen ppl opting an insurance company based on lower premium. Same ppl go with LIC for life insurance requirement, but when it comes to Car they prefer to save few 100 rupees and then cry at the time of claim. Always go with a Insurance company with maximum claim settlement ratio.

i HAVE BEEN STUCK FOR DECISION. My choices are venue petrol s+ and XUV 300 petrol base version. Plz suggest me a good one among two which will last long. I have heard that venue engine is old I10 engine. Is it true? I ts has a power lag. On the opposite XUV 300 petrol is very powerful but fitted withturbo. Does turbo car lasts long? Plz suggest . I depend on your suggestion.

Last year I brought my first dream car - Polo GT TSI
I remember watching so many comparison videos on TH-cam that suggested against buying the polo GT. But I remember sir’s one video where he said buy a car that fulfilled your personal need. Today people applaud my car and it suits my personal requirements 100%
My family is comfortable in the backseat even though it’s not huge and I drive accordingly when there are passengers. Mostly it’s just me driving the car alone and I could not have made better choice. So don’t fall for these TH-cam comparisons just follow this man’s advice - go and test drive the car first and be realistic about your usage.
I have not made any modifications, no LED headlamps no modifications that will affect the factory settings. I don’t drive that much at night and the lamps don’t concern me over short journeys that I make at night.

Modifying according to taste is not wrong. But in India, we do not have such premium tuners with precision.
You rightly said about people getting influenced because of TH-camrs. If one goes by TH-camrs, then only Tata Motors is the best car as they sell cars by frightening you, same as Insurance agents sell insurance.
TH-camrs must understand that no one buys a car to go and do an accident. People buy cars because they want hassle-free ownership of 7-8 years, good mileage, good engines, and good safety too. But Yotutubers keep overselling one thing over the other and influencing people to take wrong/bad decisions.

Totally agree.. what is unfortunate is that most of the "auto influencers" (hand in gloves with the accessory market) are completely misleading the uninitiated like crazy.. other than the warranty and insurance getting voided, the resale value of the car actually devalues further the more you tamper with the original stuff.. especially, the electricals!
