23:09 Thank you for asking about wooing! because I had no idea lol. 30:35 Tone of voice and bringing up his own team's performance to set a tone of Humbleness then hitting Aui with "frauds" is why Insania is a comedy genius
I agree about what Aydin said about TI. The huge price pool always used to gather attention from streamers or media who didn't know anything about dota and I always thought this would attract more new audiences to the game.
I'd like to add that TS also have always played from a place of "we're not that good". Which probably helps them a lot to get back to peak form when they fall off.
Interesting how both Quinn and Aui think the highground push isnt just "stalling" for farm till u get a big enough advantage. Would love to hear their thoughts with a bit more depth but can understand they cant due to competition.
On the topic of high ground, I do think teams these days are much more risk-averse than they used to be, which makes sense when you're ahead but the teams that are behind are kinda just content to lose the game very slowly in the hope that the other teams dives fountain, instead of trying to get out on the map and make something happen
Regarding TI, I think the thing I miss most is feeling like we were contributing to the experience of TI. I’d rather lower prizepool and have a 6 day venue with affordable pricing to get people there. Every year I see the same posts about the ticket prices. Crowd is a big part for me just as a viewer the stage adds so much to the game
thx for the good content, keep up with it and cap can you make a podcast talking about dota 2 tier 2 and below competitive scene for, since there is no minor tournament rn, it is kinda sad seein the teams that is not qualified to the tier 1 tournament
loving these casts, fills the void that i have from the OG podcasts no longer happening. also Aui 2000 is the most accomplished Canadian dota player enjoy seeing him!
It's to long, same problem doesn't come out well. Also stances are something you can change on the fly, like troll bezerker stance (possibly creating confusion), I'm wow warrior dk and monk stances or even smite or league that have that same word, stance switchers (Elise, Jayce, nidalee, Artio, Hel, Iller, Tyr) Then consider just saying: do you pick right path or left path? Simple, it gives it a noun that doesn't leave it in the air what is left or right, and can even be like golem path or book path for warlock for instance if you don't know who's left or right. Path is goats term
1:11:02 Oof did insania curse works? Since kuro didn't qualify to Riyadh 2024 :( I watched this ep after MENA CQ. Edit: Welp figured out how to do comment time stamp after googling kek
You guys got so close to touching on why I think the fans at least are disappointed about the reduced prizepool for TI. I'm sure for players it feels the same if not almost the same because you're still playing for that title and you're playing in the competition you've been striving for your whole dota career, but for fans and casual players the scaling back of the prizepool being a direct result of the fact we no longer get compendiums and battle passes of the quality we used to back in the day is another sign of what feels like a slow reduction in the commitment and interest valve has in this game. The time between patches and new heroes etc is getting longer, prizepools are decreasing, quality of tournaments is being reduced, less games with crowds, the question when the prizepool kept breaking records was when is the bubble going to burst, it's starting to feel like that has been answered and dota is losing its prestige.
I wish Insania could speak more confidently about the team improving. Him and blitz do the same thing, they put themselves down under the guise of being humble. But at the end of the day surely part of the meme becomes self fulfilling when they joke that they will suck at the next dream League or won't be the team that defeats spirit etc.
18:00 The Falcons music dynamics are funny. Also glad that Aui has gotten the all chat under control
my goat about to win 3 TI
i still remember the kick after winning ti5

AUI was the top of my guest star wishlist. I'm glad this episode happened.

can we hire sunsfan to do timestamps for this podcast

Thanks Cap, really like this episode. All the talk about "fraud" was so funny
Facets, bad word. Doesn't roll out the tongue.
Paths, super intuitive, simpler word too. Fits flavor wise too. Use paths
What about stance?

Really cool seeing legendary coach jack chen aka kbbq building a chair
This is a great podcast thanks.
Been waiting for Aui, 100% GOAT
Unfortunately reality is that only 8 teams actually make it to TI, at the actual arena. Online playoffs is a joke.

Good episode!
Insania calling Falcons frauds, meanwhile half of team liquid doesn't even queue public matches. The young blood is hungry.

Kick 33 and bring the saberlight the synergy is better for the whole team with 33 is wierd playing fast ,just not a liquid type of player
blitz loves 33 and he's team captain, tough to replace but i agree
Kick 33 and lose your invite for Riyadh & TI based
