- V Rising is a brand new survival game where you play as a freshly awakened vampire on a quest to conquer the world of humans. You’ll spend your time doing traditional vampire activities such as drinking blood, transforming into animals, sleeping in a coffin and, of course, mining copper ore for crafting purposes. Just like Dracula. He loved a bit of copper ore.
Although V Rising shares a lot of similarities with the likes of Valheim and Don’t Starve - requiring players to gather materials in order to progress through an expansive technology tree - its Vampire theming introduces a number of unique mechanics that make the game feel distinct and fresh. I’ve really enjoyed my time with it so far, and I think it could be the next big survival game hit.
The issue, as is so often the case with survival games, is that some elements of V Rising aren’t hugely intuitive. Thankfully, I’m here to help. In this beginner’s guide, I’ll give you all the tips you need to become the most powerful blood-sucking goth in all of Vardoran.

Game is awesome so far, really wasn't expecting it to be as fun as it is. Sort of came out of nowhere ala Valheim.
Nice tips. You know it's a great video game when you have to literally study it, as there is so much depth to it.

standart daylight timer is 1080s which translates into 18 mins of daylight luckily night is a bit longer than that
Pretty sure that's the standard full bay/night cycle. There's a separate setting to change what percentage of the cycle is daylight.

Only Just got into this game and I absolutely love it! Really wish I had a friend to play it with but, I guess that's what servers are for. ^_^

Pretty good guide, was hoping for a bit more guide on castle size placement vs friends on multiplayer server looks like we might have up to 7 or 8 on the same server

I have been playing, but I while I haven't had any trouble raising gear score. The system is Just really flawed. It should be combined with some type of other score booster because it can feel really one sided. Ex: You have a score of 81 but your attacked and armor breaks bringing your score to 63 now you take extra damage and your max hp was lowered so it just steam rolls you. The only reason your in that area is to repair the items that just broke.
the biggest let downs I think that they should change is the servers. I like that there’s a PVE server and a PVP server but what I’m referring to is to have your own server you have to pay extra on top of what you already paid to play the game. Along with that I think they should have their own company server because from what the looks of it right now you can only join other players servers and one of those players could take down the server or what if something happens in the process. Then who’s all your process if the other player would decide to do so. If they have a company server it would it would always be guaranteed to be up and in good hands overall
servers marked with round symbol next to their name are official, so you don't risk losing your progress because someone shut down private server

Can you leave a clan or are they permanent?
PvE is 1000% the best mode. There’s enough elitism competitive multiplayer games out there.
I mean, thats entirely subjective. many players play these games because they love the pvp aspect

Absolutely love this game it is amazing.. My only wish is for a better camera angle, I don't care for the above kinda perspective.
I have regular coffins but I can't make servant coffins, anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Can't progress in the tutorial because I can't make servant coffins.
If the tutorial is telling you to make a servant coffin, then you have the ability to create them. The blueprint for them was unlocked in the previous step of the tutorial, look under crafting > dominance.
@@ArmitageShanksMC I figured the issue out. It only looked like I was being told to make a servant coffin. It was a requirement for the base thing but in reality I needed to upgrade my weapon to mine copper. The game has early bone armor and you need to update that to hardened bone armor or something stupid like that. Easy to miss. For me anyway lol.
@@neilcole3878 Yeah, there's a lot of ambiguity when it comes to progressing through the tutorial. I've spent a lot of time being stuck, so now I just make anything I can. I also recommend if you haven't started doing it, start killing the V blood carriers, they unlock a lot of stuff needed to progress.
Almost tuned out over the Twilight reference, but the stake joke saved it.
Been playing it for a couple of hours, great video. I think this game would’ve done great on consoles as well. I wish more pc developers take the time to include consoles. I hate being forced to use my pc. PC are high maintenance and over the last 3 years I’ve spent over $1k just upgrading and fixing shot with my pc. Where as my ps5 I’ve only just bought the console and games. I know the pc master race loves their pc, but please consider porting to consoles
I prefer to play on ps5, but I’ll take Xbox because I know it’s easier to develop for.
The reason you don't see a lot of smaller PC devs putting their games out on consoles is because there's a lot more upfront cost associated with developing for consoles (plus being put on a short leash by Sony and Microsoft). Basically anybody can put together a game using Unity or something and throw it up on the Steam store (or itchio), but consoles have their own dev kits that you need to pay Microsoft or Sony to use, and then to get the game on the store it has to be approved by Sony or Microsoft respectively, as do any updates/patches to the game. That last reason is also why games that have been on the PC and later moved to consoles are often several patches behind on the consoles, because the devs have to wait until they have a large enough patch to make it worth going through the approval process rather than being able to push out smaller patches as soon as they're ready.
Anyone knos if you can get raided if you are offline? Also, if your castle is decaying, can someone destroy your walls? Scared about playing solo pvp and running out of blood essence while going away for holidays or something like that
I've played for like 8 hours total and have enough blood essence to power one castle heart for 10 days. You shouldn't have too much to worry about
Full loot pvp servers, the only way to play :)
On the one hand Stunlock making a survival game makes me real sad.
On the other hand vampires are very cool and it's still got that action core.

Another thing that I would like to add that would be really great for them to change is in the PPE servers they should allow for more people to be in clans to lead to more community building and if they decide to make one or two big company servers they should allow more people to be on the server in general for more interactions and cooperative opportunities for the PVE side

This game looks awesome and I enjoyed the gameplay loop. But why in the hell did they add a girl timer for castle hearts. That shit is a massive turn off. I want to play when I WANT TO PLAY. Not when the game needs me top up my base or I loose 50 hours of gameplay. This mechanic should stick to rust.
