Emo or not, I like this song with their old singer Sushi. This style fits very well to him, other less, and I guess that is the reason while he (had to) left the band.

At first, people hated on Nico, because he was not Sushi, then people started to hate Sushi, because he *is* Sushi, and what a blessing it was that he parted with the band. Nico is Nico, Sushi is Sushi, they are quite different vocalists, I see no need to pick on any of them. EC wouldn't have been where they are now without Sushi, maybe they wouldn't be where they are now with Sushi as well. When an established band changes their main vocalist, they have to come out with a real banger, the song writing has to focus on this new individual and their respective skills, underline their best sides and hide their inabilities on other sides. Or they simply use ground and may as well go under...
EC did this with Hypa², like Lorna Shore did it with To the hellfire. And I still like CJ and am glad that he still carries on making music after the accusations turned out to be false (and although this video isn't online anymore, I applaude him for coming out with his counter statement, although it included the indirect confession of practicing less common fetishes). I love Will Ramos, but why should I suddenly hate the Lorna Shore stuff with CJ? It was the vocalist they had when I discovered them, with music that I liked. CJ and Will simply are different vocalists, I don't have to pick on the former to praise the latter...
Dude facts! Nico is Nico, Sushy is uncooked fish, CJ is CJ and Will is Will! Personally a fan of both new Lorna Shore and the new stuff CJ has been churning out, I'm not one for involvement into people's personal quarrels. If the music is good the music is good and I'll take it! In all these cases it is so they're all good in my book! / George

Lol I kinda liked this song because I never tought about it much. But all this rationality makes me like it less. 'I wanne be with you' does not fit the style of music indeed.
