There's bad blood because people are airing other people's dirty laundry. When you say, "We put food on your table while you were in jail," most people will get defensive. It doesn't sound like, "We're your family, and we wanted to do the right thing." It sounds like, "We wanted to have one up on you. We're going to hold this over your head forever." I don't have anything nice to say about Teresa, but I don't think Joe and Melissa have the moral high ground they think they do in that regard. If you only helped out to flaunt that you did, you're doing it wrong.
Yes this is such a great point. It sounds very transactional and a “you should be grateful” and not genuinely being there for her daughters emotionally. He doesn’t have to be but he needs to stop saying they were there for them.
I love what you said. For the longest I felt Teresa kept this shhh up. I felt for Joe when it came to his parents. Now they all work on my nerves but I think Melissa is out of pocket for even brining that up especially the “put food on their table.” Horrible way to express the help you provided regardless of what type of help it was.

They've grown very stale over time and their family beef has grown old and tiresome. Think the show would and could be better with ending that storyline altogether.

If Joe is admitting that he can’t control his emotions, then he needs therapy to control that. It’s not fair to say “ever since Louie came into her life…”. There’s clearly a lot of problems on both ends but his in-laws not getting invited to HIS sisters wedding (not his wedding) is not her problem and definitely not Louie’s either. Joe has so much ego. If he wants his nieces to love him, he needs to not shit on their dad publicly . The girls can decide how they feel about their dad. They don’t need the constant pounding from their uncle. The storyline is always going to be “family is everything or …. But it’s family…”. Normalize not associating with toxic behaviors and people. I think that they would do much better loving from a distance for awhile and both in therapy and maybe then, they can come back to common ground.
Melissa saying they were there for Joe because he needed someone to film with is extremely different from being there for the kids emotionally and physically. Those girls aren't 5, they know and see the difference.
This sneak peak shows a perfect example of how your partner can encourage you to do the right thing and an example of the complete opposite. Louie is literally helping Teresa talk to her brother and Melissa is just standing there, agreeing with Joe that talking to Teresa about things resurfaces past issues. Deep down Joe wants to talk to Teresa. Either encourage it or stop talking about the situation with Teresa altogether 🙄
Also notice the way Louie de escalated the situation at boys night even when Joe was raging it’s extremely immature. Say what you want but he’s helping Teresa realize she has faults & encourages her to be better & realize when she’s wrong.

Luis isn't perfect, neither is Teresa. But they are making an effort to have a better relationship. It's a good sign that Luis is a voice of reason that is trying to get the siblings together. If he were doing the opposite, I would be concerned. Melissa and Joe have nothing else going on so they want to keep the beef going for the show.

The amount of insensitivity that Melissa and Joe have towards Tereza about being locked away in prison for so long is SO beyond not cool. Both Joe and Teresa have very short tempers, at this point after it all the drama it’s time to take a break from one another. Time to heal and cool off, come back in a few months or a year if that’s what it takes. Also Joe needs help to realize some of his emotions and that it’s ok to talk about how he’s feeling.

I’m 28 and my brother is 21 almost 22 and I couldn’t imagine my life without him. We rent a townhome together and I he is my best friend. Granted we’re both men but it sucks seeing this Teresa and Joe stuff for the 100th time

Looking at how tree husband wrote down things to help her say what she needs to say helps me understand her better. I feel before she didn’t know how to say what she wanted to say or maybe articulate what she needed to communicate and it resulted in anger being her go to response or reaction. They are mad with her not realizing that was what was happening. It’s not an excuse for her past sayings and actions because she is a grown woman as they all are but the pieces have came together and I can for sure understand her better. I feel now she is really trying to move forward and find better responses and joe and Melissa are still stuck in old ways and are used to the old Teresa that they don’t know how to handle the new Teresa. I also would like to add that let’s be honest melissa and joe were not needed to film that mini series. Pretty sure production and giudice’s would have done alright without them if anything the fanbase enjoyed seeing Rosie and joe together. They’re not relevant enough to be needed on that miniseries. Andy loved joe and Rosie’s commentary if anything and he praised it and barely spoke about Melissa and joe.

If he wants his nieces to love him, he needs to not shit on their dad publicly . The girls can decide how they feel about their dad. They don’t need the constant pounding from their uncle. BTW this is the perfect example of what tre was talking about that everyone hated her for wen she would imply it’s the wife’s fault….Louie is literally helping her….THAT IS WHAT tre expected Melissa to do for her and joe!!!! But melis didn’t. Tre isn’t the most brainy so sometimes it comes out the wrong way and then she gets hate but Melissa knew what tre meant…esp if your Italian.
I realize that Joe and mallissa are the problem; they demand attention every second, and when they don't get it, they hurt taresa. I feel bad for taresa, I finely see what she talked about all these years and I think she needs to ignore them.

This just goes to show if you marry someone who doesn’t get along with your family it will make your life miserable. Melissa needs to stop it already. She keeps bringing up the past causing drama to stay relevant in a show.
Looking at how tree husband wrote down things to help her say what she needs to say helps me understand her better. I feel before she didn’t know how to say what she wanted to say or maybe articulate what she needed to communicate and it resulted in anger being her go to response or reaction. They are mad with her not realizing that was what was happening. It’s not an excuse for her past sayings and actions because she is a grown woman as they all are but the pieces have came together and I can for sure understand her better. I feel now she is really trying to move forward and find better responses and joe and Melissa are still stuck in old ways and are used to the old Teresa that they don’t know how to handle the new Teresa. I could be wrong though.

Joe makes no sense. He is hurt and upset regarding his relationship with Teresa, but he doesn't want to talk about it; to try and resolve it. Sweeping it under the rug never works. I hope this is not going to be the only storyline this season.

Not a fan of Mel or Joe. Theresa has her flaws who doesn't but you can see her genuine hurt of not having her brother around. Joe could careless and long as he's with Melissa they won't have a true relationship. I like Louie for Tre always seeming to take take the high road good luck to them while Melissa will continue to be a hater and be ENVYous of Tre. I knew with time their true selves would come out! Melissa is boring and Joe just wants the spotlight.

When you do something for family you don't throw it in their face. When you do something for family you're not expecting praise. When you do something for family you do it out of heart you never expect payback. Teresa's daughters know when they have been there for them. when they haven't been there for them. what they've done for them and what they haven't done for them. And I support Teresa for walking away she's a better person trying to make up with him BUT at this point Joe's Ego needs to go under his feet and Melissa needs to butt out....
I also would like to add that let’s be honest melissa and joe were not needed to film that mini series. Pretty sure production and giudice’s would have done alright without them if anything the fanbase enjoyed seeing Rosie and joe together. They’re not relevant enough to be needed on that miniseries. Andy loved joe and Rosie’s commentary if anything and he praised it and barely spoke about Melissa and joe.
Why does Louie have to coach Teresa in what to say to her own brother? That should let them know she is not sincere in wanting to make up with Joe. Louie has to put the words in her mouth like a ventriloquist dummy.
Teresa is not good with talking…. I’m glad he’s there. Had she would’ve been by herself the conversation would’ve went completely different.
