    Something i truly believe in doing before getting into a relationship, is saying "NO" to them. Someone's reaction to your "no" tells you everything you need to know about them. And this "no" could be to anything- sex, dinner, plans, ideas, anything. It doesn't have to be rude, just "no thank you". Their reaction tells their character. It's a good indicator of their emotional intelligence and care for your boundaries and feelings.

    As a single woman, this has been so insightful and helpful to know what I want out of dating and my expectations moving forward.
    It's so nervewracking as so many guys make a move too early - or they don't care about building the foundation
    I've used these tips in dating recently and it really helped me think clearly and logically

    I hate matching socks I wore unmatched socks out ( hubby then boyfriend) was so embarrassed. Instead of making a big deal he asked if he could borrow a key to my apartment for a surprise . The next day came home from work to all my socks matched . New socks to replace my ones with holes ! That was when I was like yep he’s a keeper! Still matches socks for me!

      @Jau Martinez 100 % a partner. A partner is somebody willing to take on a chore for something that is important to them. Instead of embarrassing them or trying to get them to change. I never wear socks in shoes only in boots so I could give a rats ass if they match !!!!

    This was so validating!! I’ve been wondering if things in my relationship were rushed or delayed too much. Things progressed as trust was built and this video is making me appreciate my relationship even more than before. It makes me realize how comfortable and respectful it has been!

    It’s fun to turn on the radio and sing along with your passenger. Shutting off the music limits those opportunities.
    Also, silence can manipulate people who are stressed out to fill the silence. It can be coercive to refuse a comfortable background in these situations.

    Just going to start sending this to people who want to get into a relationship with me. Getting people to understand I don't want to date someone I don't generally know is hard, dating is for deepening a bond not the initial getting to know someone.

    As a woman I like dinner date because it shows me the mannerisms of the man. Where he sits, how he orders, does he have manners, does he think of me first. All those. I'm a music lover so to learn someone's playlist is sooo romantic so everyone has a go to playlist. I want to hear that stuff.

    Single gal here! I’m so glad I’m still single. Relationships seem like too much work I’m goooood! Not everyone needs a partner. I’m very free and the Bible does stay being single is fine. Marriage is NOT for everyone. I’ve had short-term and long-term relationships, and for me I just can’t seem to let myself be told what to do by a man. I can’t handle the ego, the fragility, the sex drive, the constantly having to build someone up. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially in 2023. I can take care of myself.

    This is one of my favorite episodes even though I'm married my husband and I both enjoyed talking about how much we have in common on courting and dating and remembering how intense the 5th date was 😂 and how much respect it gave us for each other also...I hope people that are dating or wanting to look to date that the people listening really understand the importance of communication and being direct like Peaches says "you can't expect them to read your mind "

  • @BusterGrubbs
    @BusterGrubbs ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Chris, you said you drive in silence if you have a passenger, for conversation to be able to happen. But what if peaches or your passenger was wanting to play car karaoke, is that the same as just regularly keeping music playing in the background, or would still be considered quality time cuz you are playing a song game together in the car? We are both sound system people and music people, and love having music on, but if we want to talk we turn it low enough that we can hear and understand the other, but still on so that if our daughter is in the car with us she can still hear the music in back but not what we are talking about in thw front.

    I didn’t kiss the girl on the first date that I’m currently dating out of respect as well and it is super nice to hear someone else say that. It’s important to be respectful and not have her feel like you are here only for the sex. Feels old school to me. Definitely looked down on as a society. I did let her know later the reason why and that I really wanted to kiss her. But I respected her. And the kiss meant that much more when we did.

    Love this! Lots of awesome viewpoints. Wasn't Peaches a single mom at this point in your personal story though? I would've liked to hear about dating from a "single mom" perspective more so than the 20 year old, still living with parents' scenario 😅 its way harder dating when you have children involved.

    Folks.
    Those stands need to need down further with the mics straight up so they are more out of guru way. They also don’t need to be that close - the idea of the cradle for the mic is to hell the sound, vibration etc. with them on the angle like that you are hindering the design properties
    hope that helps 👍🏻

    So I have a question, Peaches said “He would have to know how shake hands with my father”
    My fiancé is from Chicago on the south side, he didn’t know how to give a proper handshake. He was never taught, never knew how to.
    That being said he met my father and had to learn how to shake hands from my father.
    In that case would it still be considered improper?

    • @ariannaangelynnlane
      @ariannaangelynnlane ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hi paxton i think he’s fine. if your father understands in the hood we dap up, not shake hands

    • @paxtonjackson8074
      @paxtonjackson8074 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea, he tells me all the time that the handshake threw him off because he was used to something completely different in Chicago. He has since gotten better and now that he knows how to shake hands he does it with my father every time he comes over.
      I just wanted to know if him not initially shaking hands with my father was considered improper.
      Thank you for answering my question.

    How would you go about it if you ask your date what their body count is and they deflect answering it or say "its none of your business, or it doesn't matter" ?

    • @KrystalBiscuits
      @KrystalBiscuits ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I say this. Most of my body count came from when I was much more of a broken person BEFORE I did so much work on myself and I don’t want someone judging me about it based solely on a number. I think if I were on the other side you would have to decide if you are ok with the boundary of not knowing your potential partner’s count 🤷🏻‍♀️.

    Around 17 mins in it sounded like you were conflating being assaulted with sleeping around. Did I pick that up wrong? Would you not date someone who has been assaulted? And I'm terms of mental health issues. Does it change things if the person has worked on or is currently actively working or them?

    I love the idea of going grocery shopping for your man when you're not yet living together but what if you can't afford two households worth of groceries? Does the boyfriend Venmo you 😅 or is this like a $100 gift to him every week?

    • @lexvelasco6154
      @lexvelasco6154 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      How I did this with my husband while we were dating was to grab groceries for specific meals and maybe one or two life things for the house. Then I would cook for him. It allowed me to do wifely things but kept it within my budget because it was just double the meal I would've been making for myself.

  • @intelligenceparadigm4931

    These days I feel like the most significant factor in long-term compatibility is the way banter and basic conversations feel in the quiet moments. When you aren't really doing anything. You might not even really be talking about anything. It just feels right, being next to each other, saying what comes to mind and playing off each other that way.
    All my best dates ever have just been constant giggling on both sides. Maybe the person is really hot to you, or it sounds good on paper, but it's in these little moments that meshing together really works.
