This is by far the best rendition of Monti's Czardas I have ever heard! I thought Maxim Vengerov's and Roman Patkolo's version was the most inspiring, but after watching this recording I think this is magic! Of all the versions of Czárdás out there, this is the version that captures its musicality essence. 2:34 really shines with how well the symphony orchestra and concert soloists understand this piece. And 6:52? This THIS is the spot for jaw dropping technique. Yes, the ricochet-bowing is beautiful, but 6:52. Goosebumps for the sound engineering/mastering and camera work/video editing.
I paused at 6:52 and saw that smiling lady up close instead. 😂 But yeah, you're right. The video is awesome. Maestro has truly amazing techniques up his sleeves.

When I was a child growing up in Hungary during bi-annual visits to grandpa's house in the countryside, I remember having gypsy bands walking into the house unannounced walking up to the huge dinner table (where all relatives gathered) playing their instruments until the head of the house stuck money in their violin bows....gypsy violinists are some of the best virtuosos in the world, similar to blacks, they are born into music, it's in their blood.
