June 2021. RIP Kevin. I was a kid when this song came out. I remember a year later wanting to go to his concert, and my sister told me that the show was canceled due to his battle with cancer. That's how I found out about it. I had a lot of questions, but always loved his music. Since then, cancer has taken several friends. I'm sorry for those that knew him, but I believe he in a much better place, and all of his battles are won. God rest your soul.

In 1996 I was 14 years old in a cancer ward with no chance of getting out. One of the nurses gave me his CD. I could sing every song by heart long before I left the hospital.

If there ever was a song that describes my life right now it would be this one. My wife passed away of cancer in April of last year. She took my heart with her and I’ve haven’t been the same since ! She was the love of my life we were meant for each other and we knew from the first day we met that we were going to spend the rest of our lives together. God blessed me with an angel and we had a loving 15 years together that I thought would never come to an end. If we are supposed to have a loving God then I keep asking myself why he would take something so precious away from me and just about destroy my life because I’ll never find anyone else in this world that I could love the way I loved my wife. Well. I guess the good Lord wasn’t finished making my life a living hell because I was diagnosed with a golf ball size cyst on my brain which was removed last January and since then I’ve had seizures at least 3 or 4 times a week and headaches that would put a normal person on their knees. I’ve gone through major depression and I have PTSD from serving 15 years in the Marines and being wounded 3 times! You would think that after all of this things would change for the better for me, Like Kevin Sharp, may he now be singing to my wife in heaven and all the angels watching over each and every one of us, Nobody Knows But Me!

In 1996 I was 14 years old in a cancer ward with no chance of getting out. One of the nurses gave me his CD. I could sing every song by heart long before I left the hospital.

Being human is tough, temptations, sickness, dealing with this worlds attachments...whoever overcomes all these through faith deserves to be special...bottom line being human is being a warrior, we are very special, all these things we face each day seem harmless but they build up and drag us down, people commit suicide/ go crazy and it all begun with one small thing. Pray and ask for guidance, pray. Kevin Sharp - what a guy! He stood straight even though he was dying inside. He was a warrior at heart, a real human spirit that never gave up his dreams. Salute you Soldier, and thanks for what you left behind, unlike all these modern singers, you are an example of what a singer should be like. THanks!
My wife of over 52 years passed away two weeks ago today, we both loved listening to Kevin's version of this song... it makes me feel better just listening to him sing and remember the feelings we shared when we listened to it!

42 yrs later mine still calls/texts. We traveled the world together then lost touch for a couple of years in the 80’s. We never lost hope but the same & ONLY problem exists - I am NOT moving out West & he won’t move down South. I told him this would be the problem the first week I met him. He even doesn’t like it there - but I will always love it HERE!

When my dad passed away my brother would listen to this every day, he would drink and cry and start it over again. It’s been 12 years since he passed away and every time I hear this I think about him playing this because all he could think about was he lost his best friend 😢

I lost my dad to cancer almost 2 years ago. He asked that we not get lost in our grief because his brother did that exact thing when his mother passed too early. His brother didn't survive his grief. I hope you're all doing well currently

for you Ron... nobody knows how bad a person hurts when loss occurs. we live so much of our lives alone because well the price of being human is we can not be another person and feel their pain. so i cry not only for me but for those who have lost someone they love for whatever reason. the pain never goes away but you learn to live with it or give in to it. over time you get ways of dealing but make no mistake, it never leaves

Was at a Neal McCoy concert one time in Little Rock Arkansas. Kevin came out on stage and introduced himself has Neal's brother in-law. He also sang this song and told us all how he was going home to be with his family and try to fight the cancer.

If there ever was a song that describes my life right now it would be this one. My wife passed away of cancer in April of last year. She took my heart with her and I’ve haven’t been the same since ! She was the love of my life we were meant for each other and we knew from the first day we met that we were going to spend the rest of our lives together. God blessed me with an angel and we had a loving 15 years together that I thought would never come to an end. If we are supposed to have a loving God then I keep asking myself why he would take something so precious away from me and just about destroy my life because I’ll never find anyone else in this world that I could love the way I loved my wife. Well. I guess the good Lord wasn’t finished making my life a living hell because I was diagnosed with a golf ball size cyst on my brain which was removed last January and since then I’ve had seizures at least 3 or 4 times a week and headaches that would put a normal person on their knees. I’ve gone through major depression and I have PTSD from serving 15 years in the Marines and being wounded 3 times! You would think that after all of this things would change for the better for me, Like Kevin Sharp, may he now be singing to my wife in heaven and all the angels watching over each and every one of us, Nobody Knows But Me!
Brother he saved your wife from watching you suffer. We will never know God's reasons, or our own purpose in this world. Don't give up. We never know. 21 years in the ARMY, lost youngest daughter, and my first wife..yet life goes on.
