John Dramani Mahama sworn in as new President of Ghana

- On July 24th, Ghana's President, John Evans Atta Mills died, leaving the nation in shock. Mills was only five months away from completing his first term in office and he had planned to run for a second term in elections in December.
John Dramani Mahama, the former vice president, was sworn in several hours after Prof. Mills died.
Rest in Peace President Mills!
The whole world was watching what we will do and lo and behold we lived above expectations
Four Johns became Presidents of Ghana. Jerry John Rawlings from Volta Region (1981 to 2001), John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor from Ashanti Region (2001 to 2009), the late professor John Evans Fifii Atta Mills from Central Region (2009 until his death in office in 2012), and John Dramani Mahama from Northern Region (2012 to 2017). The current President of Ghana is William "Nana" Addo Danquah Akufo Addo from Eastern Region since 2017. God bless us all and our homeland Ghana and make her great and strong.
