  • I hope to make more videos on this channel. At first I will be focusing on homeless related issues but will look to branch out into other topics. However if there are any questions you have about homelessness that you would like to know more about, please feel free to ask so I know what points I can focus my efforts towards. Thankyou for watching and have an awesome day folks!

Oh Beautiful Balthazar. You have such a beautiful soul. I am so ready to share this wonderful world with you when you get back to AUS. I am so sorry the Government failed in your care. They were responsible for you and failed to teach you to love and care for yourself. But you are too clever! You found it all by yourself! Amazing! Loved this video, loved your vulnerability, cant wait for more. Big hugs brother, be kind to yourself.

Thankyou CoCo! I am looking forward to being back and starting a new chapter! Will be great to see you again. And I can't say I found it all by myself. I was fortunate enough to meet some really wonderful people like yourself along the way that helped me learn. Stay well my friend!

Have you read "Down and Out in Paris and London" by George Orwell - awesome book about being homeless in those two cities!

Ah. Bro. All I ever knew was instability growing up and I am completely terrified of going back there. I am not used to it and I will never be used to it. I live every day in fear of the worst things that happened in my life happening again.
I think most people live that way. Most of the worst nightmares are composed of the worst experiences in our lives. The content might change, but the effect is still the same.

I can understand why. I am speaking of course to my own personal experiences and not everybody is the same. Now that I have found some stability in my life I too am scared to lose what I have now that I have something worth losing. In the context of my life, I am referring to attempting to get out of a bad place. It was terrifying for me to put in the work and make the efforts to engage with society and having to learn all of the rules that come with being a member of society. After having spent so many years being unstable, I had gotten used to that life in many ways. I am sorry to hear that things were unstable for you growing up also but I hope things are better for you now, and a healthy amount of fear about going back to life of instability for me is a good motivator to keep myself from returning back to a life of instability.

I mean, even when people are drug addicted or alcoholic, they are just self-medicating mental problems. Is that really grounds to force them to be homeless and destitute?

I totally agree. Alcoholics and drug addicts are using what is available to them to try and alleviate their pain and suffering and absolutely not should that be ground to force someone to become homeless. That being said, it is undeniable that addictions make it far more difficult for a person in a bad circumstance to regain control over their lives and make the changes needed to overcome homelessness. In a more loving and helpful society we would make stronger and more concerted efforts to try and help people who are in these circumstances and provide more help and assistance to people who are suffering with addiction and homelessness. This is the responsibility of our governments to try to ensure the safety of their citizens.

actually it's proven that if people binge drink at a young age it permanently causes brain damage as alcohol addiction... and alcohol does shrink the brain and it gets worse as brain damage.
