have used this pack for 3 seasons now and am glad to own it. Half of our deer/elk camp have this and the other half use the badlands pack, both are excellent meat packers that hold up to the heavy loads. The rifle scabbard feature is what persuaded me to buy this one because of being able to use both hands on steep climbs.

I'm 6'3" with a long torso, and it fits me fine, but it's at the end of its' adjustments. For hunting mule deer, I put the duffle bag inside the pack. I take it out at my spike camp, and convert it to a day pack. When I get my deer, I bone it out, bag it and put it inside the pack; the duffle zips onto the back of the pack, and I'm out in one trip. (I don't take capes, just antlers for legal compliance) That is about the max, but for elk, one trip to drop the duffle, and a thirds of te meat, and another trip with the rest is pretty easy. Wouldn't consider another pack.

Great pack. Only thing I wish it had was a zipper where the rifle goes
