Just a awesome video of the operation of the machine and what you do. I worked here in Toronto Canada for the CNR railway but in a inland container port for my last 10 years and then took a buyout and retired. It was the best years of my working life and i still miss it even after 20 years.
from dispatch center..if they don't have an pc-cosmos then they had a position of container.. and gooing like planed for this ship.. and it's evrithing planed by spedition companis,or a companis which had container to be loaded in each ship for diverse ports.. i'm glad if i help you enough..
Hey, I really enjoy watching this video. I work as an intermodal driver for a small carrier in Canada. It’s refreshing to see you drive the stacker with such skill, precision and care. Looks like fun, but dangerous. When I find a container in a stack, I always need to signal the stacker which container with the # of fingers. So, if my container is the first, I just point with my index finger. If my container is within the second row, on the ground with 2 at the front and 3 at the second row, I point out 5 fingers. It seems in this video you don’t need the driver to look for it. What’s the average service wait time for drivers? Sometimes I wait for a really long time in the terminal :(
I never see the Maritime container, must only be circulating in Europe. Often times, lots of ZIM, OOCL, MSC, CMACGM/APL, EVERGREEN, MAERSK, MOL, HAPAG, KLINE, COSCO and some others I miss. Any of these come here? Looks like a lot of lease box.
+Wheetastic WoW thanks for the great Comment! It's a pleasure to read! This video was on my previous terminal. Now In work in the biggest Con-Ro terminal of the world!(also in the port of Antwerp) I've also made a reach stacker movie on this (AET) terminal. Average waiting time is between 30min and 2 hours Probably on both terminals. We have a computer system in the reach stackers so we know every Container position. Thanks for telling your part of the Story. Very intresting how they work in Canada. ICL Independent Container Line is a small container Company that goes from Antwerp to England and to America! AET where I work now does West Africa and South America! Feel more! I always read the Comments on my videos. I'm sure you would enjoy my other videos!
WHAT IM SAYING IS IN MONTH 3 THERE WERE 2 STS AND THAT WAS IN NOV. AND THIS WAS IN RECOREDED IN 2012, SO HOW DOES THE NUMBER OF CRANES DECREASE LIKE THAT IS WHAT IM ASKING!!!!
Thanks for the videos. this surely is a wonderful job, especially if one has passion for it. But i have a special request: Why don't u show the operational controls = when and how to lift, to release and which joystick to use etc.
+IKumkani Philiso Mngomezulu I will make a video how the controls work, special for you!! But it can take some weeks because I'm working on other video's this moment.. Thanks for the tip!
I think it will be more interesting to visualise controls during operations than only see containers being stacked away. Kindly show controls used to lift , release ,side ways etc.
Hi. I would like to know avoid container error. How do you manage the exact location of a container in a yard? What tools do you use to avoid mistakes and move a different container? I suppose they take up more than one payroll with the assignments of the day. I hope someone can tell us. Greetings.
+Juan Carlos Llanos V. Reach stackers have computers, they have to enter the stack and position in the system. When the stack is full. The yard man goes to that stack and checks all containers on correct positions. No problem my friend. Feel free to ask more!

Very good sar
Thank you, should I make new videos like this?
4:00 nothing like a relaxing drive down the port
How do you get instructions which container to pick up and where to put it? And is there some coordinate system to tell you the locations?
We have a touchscreen where we get instructions tot het everything organized. You can see the computer in a few of my other reach stacker movies!
