*PLEASE NOTE: Normally the Neo has 20-24 satellites locked with the camera mounted but not recording. Just like most 4K cameras when you start recording on the Go 3S the satellite count can drop slightly due to RF interference the camera produces. You should still get 14-16 satellites, still plenty to get a 3D Fix. After you start recording on the camera if you lose 3D fix just wait 30 to 60 seconds and your satellite count should recover. DO NOT fly the Neo at night with any type of payload, it will not fly well without the use of vision sensors using the remote. Be sure to thoroughly test in an open area at close range prior to serious use.*
saw a user talk about this add on, this could get me to finally buy a neo. I loved the form factor but really had issue with the camera. This, I like this. Edit: This kills me.. why are there no youtubers all over this? I can't find any videos using this.
@werdhawangsa8889 Man I am starting to supects this cams aint that good. How come nobody talks about insta cameras after the hype, whereares there is still people talking about osmo action 4 and osmo pocket 3 to this day
It's a great idea in theory, but after several flights and reviewing the test footage comparing the GO 3S to the Neo, I've found it's much better to just use ND/PL filters on the Neo’s camera. Carrying an extra camera really eats into your flight time and can be a hassle, especially in windy conditions. Plus, as the battery drains quickly on the return home, I actually had mine drop from the sky with about 10% left while lining up for a landing this morning.
Yikes 10%? You were really pushing it. DJI recommends you land between 25-30%. The Neo is severely limited on power when it gets below that, and that's without a payload. You also risk damaging your battery going that low.
@@AerialPixel Yes, as I mentioned in my first comment, the battery drains much faster with the extra weight. So, I now adjust my return-to-home (RTH) time, adding an extra 30 seconds to 1 minute, depending on factors like distance, altitude, and wind. Without the added weight, I haven’t had any issues with RTH. That said, it was a fun idea, and I’m glad I gave it a try! Your mount looks awesome. 🙏🏻 I just think it’s important for others considering this setup to hear from people who’ve tested it. The main reason I’ll keep flying with my GO 3S mounted is to have one camera shooting at 30fps and the other at 60fps. It’s a cool setup for capturing different looks!
I hope they will release some camera kit replacement lens or censor to have better image quality. I ready to pay for it. I love how light it is that’s why I like NEO.
If Dji releases an update to set the sharpness and contrast I don’t see the need of another camera.. if you need for profissional use, than neo is not for you.. thanks for the comparison side by side !
As I don’t know insta 360, my suggestion is explain technical comparison like resolution between both, why you choose do this, insta 360 price, benefits for this, price for whole set, battery time using the set…
There are a lot of reviews specifically on the Insta360 Go 3S out there. Both the 3S and Neo are 4K, but not all 4K are created equal. When watching the flight footage pay attention to the trees in the background, the 3S has detail where it is muddy on the Neo footage. Benefits are explained in the video. Links with current pricing on both the camera and mount are in the video description. Expect a 10-15% flight time reduction with the added weight.
We have a bottom mount coming soon that would allow vertical mounting below the drone. In my opinion the center of gravity gets to high when mounting it vertically on top of the drone, a lower CG with it bottom mounted would have much better flight characteristics. But yes, you can mount it vertically with our Go 3 / Go 3S protector that has landscape and portrait mounting fingers.
The skin is ours, you can find it on our website here: bit.ly/neostripes International shipping for us in the USA is very expensive, we charge actual shipping rate + $1 US.
I don't really recommend the Action 2 on the Neo, even though it is only 56g vs 39g that extra 17 grams makes a huge difference. In my testing with the Action 2 the Neo is forced to land due to the extra weight.
We have other holders on the website that support the Go 2. www.aerial-pixel.com/dronepilots/#!/Insta360-Go-2-to-GoPro-Camera-Mount/p/348384973/category=171739291
Please refer to the official regulations for C0 classification on page 29 here: eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=CELEX:02019R0945-20200809 (1) have an MTOM of less than 250 g, INCLUDING PAYLOAD Adding 55g mount and camera to the drone would bring the MTOM to 190g, still under the 250g limit. However, DJI does not list any 3rd party accessory as an "Allowed Payload" so compliance solely lies with the operator.
I'm sorry we don't sell on Amazon, just our website, Etsy and eBay. The Go 3S is better quality than the previous versions and better than the Neo camera in my opinion. Watch the flight footage and look closely at the trees in the background the Go 3S has detail where it's mud on the Neo.
The camera on the DJI Neo isn't that great. The mount will give you other camera options to get better quality footage, change frame rates, resolution and color science.
Can you really use the Insta360 with the Neo in spite of the very strong magnet on the 360? I didn't think this possible, as even the tiny magnet of my watch strap affects the compass of my Dji RC2 controller!
Yes it flies fine and doesn't affect the compass in the Neo at all. GPS satellite count can drop when you start recording, let it recover before taking off, the camera puts off some RF noise.
The TPU mount for the Go 3 / 3S fits both cameras, see image below: photos.app.goo.gl/XFosL4uFjgdusY4e6 Camera on the left is the Go 3, right is the Go 3S. It is really tight on the Go 3S and just snug on the Go 3 to make up for the 0.6mm difference in thickness.
The Action 2 may be too heavy for the Neo (56g vs 39g), and that is without a holder/protector. I haven't tested it yet, I will report back with how it goes.

Lol it's not your mind it keeps hearing what we talk if you use android phone. There is a setting where you should turn off microphone always.

We've sold hundreds of them, there should be some out there. I'll post back here if I come across some.
Appreciate your honest demo.
This was exactly what I was looking for!
Thanks!
I wanted to know how to put my 360insta into a drone!
As much as I want to love this, in my opinion the winner in the footage comparison definitely goes to the Neo.
yes i think not worth the weight added to the neo
Was expecting a better quality video, now I understand why many people still opted to get a full size action cam as their main cam instead
Unfortunately the Neo isn't capable of lifting a full size action camera :(

The Neo was on the latest firmware (V01.00.0300) for the flight footage shown.

how was the flight time with the Insta 360?
It seems to reduce it by 10-15% So not too bad, but it depends on how you fly it too.
Does anyone have the 3D file of this support for insta360 camera? If so, can you send it to me, please?

Is it possible to mount a GoPro on it? Can it handle the weight of the GoPro?
No, Naked GoPro only, 40g or less recommended.
So no go pro hero 11 ? It wont work
No a naked camera of 40g or less is recommended.
I wish I could buy it in india. but I can't.
We ship internationally.
I just want someone to put a Gopro on the Neo and see if it can fly 😭
The Neo can't handle a full size GoPro, a camera under 40 grams is recommended.
@@AerialPixel Awww 😭
That's a nice mount, but adding 40 grams to a 135 gram drone is a lot.
You can save 5 grams by going to the Go 3 instead of the Go 3S, but the footage is better on the 3S.
now if this would be a bottom mounted camera that could capture 180 degrees ..
Be sure to check out our bottom mount for the Neo here: bit.ly/djineomount
Surprised to see some viewers in comments are clearly blind...
This is cool but I would rather have the actual 360° camera
That would be nice, unfortunately there isn't a 360° camera that is light enough for the Neo to handle.

The Go 3S was set to its default color profile. Colors can be changed in the "FILTERS" area on the camera.
the Go series of cameras are pretty bad quality. All of them. The Dji action 2 is much better for this, even as old as it is.
