I have worked with Loki for many years now and was exclusive, but I have been opening up to his children and partners. I have developed UPG over this time concerning his place and purpose, I often approach matters of spirituality from a secular almost scientific point of view. I view the concepts of magic and gods or spirits as something we just currently don't understand but might see later with technology.
when I started I was rather rigid in my practice, I found other Lokeans and did what they did, gave their offerings, but have since realized that it doesn't matter and you need to develope your own unique relationship with the entity.
I view Loki as a chaotic force but not a force of chaos, I don't attribute malice to him. I view the Edda story as a warning, and Loki a balancing force, a being who through his chaotic nature opens ways and ends stagnation. I see Loki as helpful, fun, mischievous, and a being that if not kept in check can unintentionally cause harm, but sometimes in order to move forward and heal or become something better, it must be broken or removed.
Order is often seen as a universal good, but to much of anything can lead to harm. I view the story of Ragnarok epitomizing this, Odin fighting against and trying desperately to hold back and stop the flow of fate, thus creating stagnation in absolute order, his order. while Loki is the catalyst to change this and get things back on the path of fate and continue things as they should be, however if Loki was in absolute power things could be just as bad.
I have met Lokeans that embody this all consuming chaotic energy. I've seen them in pain squirming under the pressure and not sure what to do or where to go, and I view this almost like Loki bound and suffering. to welcome Loki into your life and to be in a good place with him is to have fun and be relaxed, don't take things to seriously, enjoy the little moments, know when to right the course of the ship but also when to go with the flow and let the winds take you.
I see Loki as very non judgemental, unless you keep repeating things, or put yourself in a stagnate situation and refuse to leave or grow. Loki is the seed and the tender, to help a sapling grow into what it was meant to be.

Coming from a Lokean: The idea of "do whatever you feel is right, there is no right and wrong, and there are no rules to what you can and cannot do" is slowly becoming more and more 'popular' in a way. I have seen others insist that you MUST do this thing, MUST give Loki these offerings only, etc., of course, but those that are just now being introduced to this little corner are starting to come into contact more and more with those that encourage doing whatever you want. It is a nice change to me, and I am glad that instead of trying to force a specific practice on someone more of us are encouraging people to break away from the mindset of needing rules.

I perform "magic" several times. I perfer to wing it and use my intention alone and get incredible results that defy rules. So much so i dont do not practice it regularly due to my success at it. But if im around the fire and want to invite Loki for a chat I throw a reiki stick into the fire. If hes free he come if not oh well.

@ Of course! I have seen other Lokeans try to tell others they need to use a specific color of candles, a specific color for an altar cloth, a specific incense, etc., and have gotten upset at people (myself included) for either using what we feel is right, or for suggesting that they do what they feel will work for them, as well as implying that we would all somehow have the wrath of Loki brought upon us over a simple candle or offering. I have seen people fight over how you are specifically supposed to make an altar and what you can and cannot offer (people fight over kazoos and other trinkets!). But with more and more people accepting the idea of "do what you will," it has been a lot easier. I do not think we should be encouraging a strict set of rules for everybody while also saying strict rules in other practices are bad and other people should do what they want, and I am glad more and more people have stopped trying to force something that not only doesn't make sense in regards to Loki, but can be incredibly difficult for others to follow due to their own personal reasons.

I consider myself Lokean because Loki is my patron, but that’s not what I identify myself religiously as Lokean. I call myself heathen. Think of Lokean less of a religious branch (similar to asatru, vanitru, heathen, etc.), and more like a philosophy.
Think about how people look to the 9 noble virtues and the Havamall as a sort of moral guide. I live by the Lokean virtues as a way to approach life. A lot of people flock to Loki because of abuse. Loki helps us deal with the chaos of our environments. He helps us cope with a good attitude. And he helps us forgive ourselves when we mess up, as long as we try to do better.
    1. Truth: Be real. Be true to yourself as much as you are to others. Don’t apologize for who you are.
    2. Humor: Learn to find the humor in all things, especially in yourself. This is how we learn not to be self-righteous assholes.
    3. Humility: If you need to tie your balls to a goat to get shit done, suck it up buttercup.
    4. Cunning: Try to think outside the box. Don’t make a mess so big that you can’t think your way out of it.
    5. Transformation: Don’t be afraid of change, because that’s how we grow. Don’t be afraid of self-examination and listen to constructive criticism.
    6. Creativity: Create awesome stuff. Try new things out. If you don’t like it, blow it up and try again.
    7. Accountability: You are the only one in charge of your own destiny, your own life, and your own actions. Own your shit.
    8. Empathy: Try to see things from more than one perspective. Walk a mile in someone else’s shoes before you pass judgment.
    9. Experimentation: A mistake is only a mistake if you do it twice. Until then, everything is an experiment.

On that note, I don't think any mortal being needs to advertise Loki. He does that himself as he just shows up like, "Hello, have you heard of me? Wanna get to know eachother?"
I started off Wiccan years ago and was actually honoring Cernunnos and Selene. I avoided the norse pantheon because I had not been interested then Loki showed up.
Out of the blue and sort of in your face.

What I experienced during Channelings with loki is that he is not one of the asir,he's also not just a giant, he's something entirely different.. he told me he has a lot to do with keeping the balance and he walks on the big net that keeps the universe together and ppl, and also knot points that are in need to happen. He keeps things that don't belong here where they belong and is playing a huge part when it comes to balance. He's doing that in the in between where there is everything and also nothing. He's not evil and not good and has a lot to do with the fire, but a different fire..fire of transformation and transits. He's many things at ones and usually shows himself first as a spider before he shows himself more and differently. He's definitely that kind of deity that first is watching before he interacts...he's amazing to work on trauma and other things,so that you can heal yourself. It usually painful and he breaks away the things that don't serve us anymore,to make us "better" and happier.hes teaching us that we can't lie to ourselves. He has different aspects and is "a lot" he's definitely not easily to explain and its possible that no one ever will. For me he is a force,on different levels,a force of change, chaos and balance. Something dies..something will be born again. Is he a god...I think yes...but more one of the old gods(giants) the old forces that were there before the asir.
He feels different than working with Odin but they have some similarities

I feel like each of the spirits I work with represent a part of me and loki breaking the rules of labels and titles and names is how I've felt for so long. I am not a thing to be named or labeled but an experience to be had; I am an expression of a moment experiencing itself but thru one of many potential realities.
I have broken all of my family's religious taboos, turning my back for their restrictive ways and beliefs and becoming myself thru investigating things they shun and embracing aspects of myself thry consider to be sin.
Odin is another trickster sprit who represents the wisdom I have gained thru the suffering I have experienced and the "rules and laws" of my family's religious beliefs as well as just suffering as a part of living life itself.
As ignorance is to bliss so suffering is to wisdom and that is how I view Odin's pursuit for knowledge, power and wisdom. Knowledge comes from contrast and yoy csn not know the peaks of yoyr mountains least you stand afar from them in the depths of your valleys. The point of climbing a mountain is to appreciate the valley below it after all.
I feel loki helps push us to know this as well but in a more chaotic way like a fire in need of taming.
Man needed fire to get to where we are but fire is dangerous is left unattended, it will burn itself out along with everyone around it.

Loki from a modern mystic/shaman/occultist perspective (mine):
    A quick preface:
While some view Gods and Deities as literal beings. I interact with such with differing opinions and different paradigms. Also, just a quick note, I was drawn to norse mythos and magick from interaction with Odinn and his ravens. So take this with a "grain of salt"= "alchemical phrase for listen with discernment from your own experiences".
Loki for me is representationally within the Mythos of Norse is the archetype of Change, and the duality... the number 2 that comes after 1... the split from the monad... and represents that force, or energy, or vibration, or archetype filled with creativity and newness. Whether Loki is a specific entity or a egregor, I can't personally say as... again I interact with Odinn, and for me Odinn is more of a spirit guide and both an archetype as well as an egregor. For the case of Loki I have no direct interactions... however...
There are seemingly links to Loki from other mythos and pantheons.
There seems here a strong link with Belial from the Goetia. If there is anyone who believes that there are analogs of entities in different cultures and that they are interchangeable, then Loki is very related to Belial, Satan, and Set/Seth in terms of the essential role that they play within their own Mythos.
Taking into account of Tricksters and the role they play... it's actually interesting to note that there's a thing within one of the native american tribes... called Heyokas. And from within that mythos, as far as I can gather, trickster "heyokas" are likely autistic people who are quite backwards in life and are often found to be tricksters not necessarily by malicious intentions but by antisocial behaviors but in their actions and behaviors that they catalyze change through forcing those who interact with them to question preconceived notions that were previously accepted without question. I personally am autistic and I found great comfort in knowing that some cultures exist that there's even a spiritual role given to autistic people... the role of the Sacred Fool... or Heyoka or Trickster. AND that that role is as important to the health of the tribe as is the role of the Shaman or the role of the Chieftain.
From a Jungian psychology perspective, and choosing to view Loki from the perspective of a "shadow", then it is actually the shadow of the Shaman. That is that there's always temptation within any healer, doctor, psychologist, etc. where they who have the knowledge or wisdom to heal others, also have within them the knowledge and wisdom to destroy others. Tricksters as an archetype is therefore the shadow of the healer or shaman. They are destroyers of falsehoods... they speak truth to power... they test the limits of rules and regulations and find the loop holes... and find greater dimensionality and wisdom through contraditions that are signs of complexities of multidimensional and multifaceted truths.
Tricksters have a negative reputation in the modern day... but ironically they are very important for the health and well being of the society that they belong to. They don't have to do it with malicious intentions... it's more of a "trouble shooting" process or a "debugging" process where they try to test the limits of a system to find and detect weakness or problems. They are like the Quality Assurance role within a society for rules, for beliefs, etc.
Here there is also a connection with Odinn in that loose kind of way that somehow ties everything together. I am speaking about and referring to Ravens and Crows being known as tricksters. And Odinn of course has 2 ravens, Huginn and Muninn. This here is again I suspect that Carl Jungian Shadow connection between Odinn (shaman archetype) and Loki (trickster archetype).
"The truth does not solely belong to the light. Nor does it lie solely in the light. There is truth also in darkness. Dark truths, suppressed truths, lost or hidden truths (as any occultist will know). Therefore to uncover the truths, especially the hidden truths, one must seek out the lies. Find the lies, uncover them, and you will find the truths that these lies have kept hidden." - Belial (goetic egregore).
I had found that my spirit guide in terms of animism is the Raven. Crows too are very friendly towards me both literally and in the spiritual sense. I have had a great long history of animist spirituality in my life started from childhood... Chinese mythos has a lot of animism in it... Native American spirituality of various tribes have influenced that... and of course lately Norse Animism. While I have many guides like spiders, and other such things... I'll speak mainly on the Raven as my main guide.
Many people, especially psychics will immediately tell me, "you are followed by dark spirits"...
Others sometimes will say "You have a lot of tricksters surrounding you".
Initially I was afraid. Some have even tricked me into paying money for "psychic services" to help try to rid me of these "dark forces"... but then I realized later that these very same tricksters have been my guides my whole life...
This "darkness" that people refer to as dark is the 'suppressed truths' or the "jungian shadow" that is suppressed in society. I being autistic am perhaps already very much neurologically tuned to the "trickster" frequency have learned over the years that these are in fact my guides.
Unlike say those who work with the Fae or other such entities that commonly take on the role of the psychopomp, Tricksters as guides in particular is a very "different path".
Some might call it the left hand path within the western occult traditions but actually I beg to differ... or rather I'd rather choose to call it by describing exactly what it is rather than wording it with a simple term that then gets tossed aside or misunderstood or even limited by the word being used.
The basis of the left hand path I think may actually come from these so called "dark guides" or "tricksters". That is to say, they all encourage what Carl Jung would call Shadow Work or Shadow Integration. That is to say, they encourage us to take a real good hard look at ourselves and be really honest with ourselves about who we actually are and to step outside of the lies we tell ourselves to feel "okay". To see our flaws and work on them... to purge ourselves of things we did not originally choose but was forced upon us... and to confront our shadow... our subconscious... or "dark side", and instead of viewing it as a conflict between light and dark, it is the work of bringing oneself back into alignment with the original "true self". That we are out of balance as individuals and as a society is very evident today. To do the work to bring ourselves back into alignment with who we truly are by confronting and "bringing to light" or "becoming aware and conscious of our deepest flaws and our darkest sides that we suppress and deny", is ultimately a very painful and traumatic process... but it leads to transformation and healing. Or rather Transformative healing. We become better versions of ourselves. We become whole again.
It seems to me that the "trickster" archetype that Loki occupies within Norse Mythos is precisely as a societal psychopomp or spirit guide in line with the idea of a Heyoka. The role of that sacred fool... that trickster that either intentionally or unintentionally is pointing out the flaws and forcing a confrontation with the problems in society or within the self so that these problems will be brought up to the surface of consciousness and examined and confronted and healed or transformed, rather than to let them be suppressed and hidden and stagnate and cause problematic subconscious drives and impulses and behaviors that cause us to be "enslaved by our own impulses".
These "darker guides or trickster guides" act as almost pranksters who intentionally play tricks on those they watch over and guide in order to force that person to focus on and learn from the flaws that the prank is designed to illustrate or teach or bring awareness to. And through these many painful and yet necessary experiences, the person being guided can learn from this "growing pain" and be corrected in both behavior on the outside as well as the inner beliefs and perceptions.
Sadly this is all given a very negative tone and role in society as our society is very resistant towards change and growth. It may want to declare itself as very progressive, but the truth is much of our new scientific breakthroughs are being suppressed by big companies whose technologies will become obsolete by these new tech, so they buy the patents and suppress them... and this type of thing is really causing our society to stagnate. We are over 50 years behind on our tech.... we have so much more technological advancements available to humanity that is not shared with the public, and all of this is because of the practice of suppressing truths in order to keep a few powerful and the masses who don't know these truths remain stupid or taken advantage of by the lack of the knowledge or secret truths kept hidden.
And of course this is finally tied to the Prometheus archetype as well as your "edward snowden" "whistleblower" type...
SOME tricksters out there, not all, but some, are simply whistleblowers who want to give hidden information back to the people who need it most... the hidden truths that will set people free. But they can't do it openly, so they use tricks to do so. Tricks such as political satire, and other such methodology to 'leak" out information, while they play the "fool/trickster". This too is a very intrinsic part of the trickster archetype which illustrates why tricksters act as the "catalyst" within societies for change and growth and renewal.

Thank you so very much for another wonderful video, Arith. I began my journey into Paganism and Heathenry about a year ago. Your channel has become one of my bedrocks where I allow my typically skeptical self to be washed over with your blend of empirical and archeological data along with the sprinkling of animistic views that still allow my clinical mind to believe in gods and spirits and attempt to commune with them as they set fit. Thank you for being a source of entertainment, education, and a place where knowledge and acceptance flows freely. Congrats on 100k subscribers!
As for the topic of the video, I found it spot on. One of the pulls of modern Heathenry is that such dogmatic conformity like that found in many organized religions is simply impossible due to so much of records of day to day practice having been lost to the ages. Those of us that feel the calling of the Animistic views or the Old Gods simply must fill in the gaps and lean on UPG. Since the "rules" aren't clear as to what must be done, we are left with the liberation of walking our own path in forging relationships with the gods and entities.
My personal general practice goes as such: I honor the gods of order (particularly Thor) in appreciation of not letting the figurative and literal roof fall down on my head. I honor the gods of nature and magic (particularly Freyja) to help guide me to be a better person to the earth and open myself to things that are often unperceived. Finally, I always throw in a bit of a tip of the cap to the gods of chaos (particularly Loki). Since I have stopped looking at the world from a Judeo-Christian/Western view of good vs evil, I have come to appreciate how Chaos is needed in order for life to keep from stagnating. I welcome the Tricksters and their ways of shaking up the system and their inspiration to be, as you say, ungovernable even if it upsets MY life as I know it is needed change to continue the evolution of life beyond my own.

Thanks for that Arith. I am involved in Gaelic Paganism, for lack of a better term, and here one of our main trickster spirits is Morrigu / Morrighan - Raven. Raven as trickster / dark mother / sovereignty goddess. I felt weird when people when I saw images of people worshipping Morrigu / Morrighan. Now I know why. As Marx explained in his notion of commodity fetishism, some of these folks are mistaking 'the process as a thing'. They are a drawing conclusions a bit too quickly and missing out on a quieter / longer view. A collapse in the imagination. The Loki spirit is a crack in the spiralling cosmos. Where the interesting stuff happens.

Thank you amazing video giving a perfect picture of what is going on in my like and with him. He has been there basically all my life but I didn't know his name, everything was revolving around transformation, change and his "playfulness " to me was part of the package to trigger change, transformation and satisfaction. I could tsee that the images I was getting weren't always the same, but simply thought it was my mind just translating different situations or issues or areas. I have always had a path going differently, out of the box when vompared to the others and excluded or really not supported because I wasn't complying with "spiritual rules" and I didn't attach to any specific level, I was concentrated on my path. Then I felt called to norse spirituality and/or pantheon , as you wish, and this while I was setting into motion a really huge transformation and I am still working on tjat. He seemed to have disappeared for a while, it was total chaos in my life and I had to let crumble some walls, maybe concerning Loki who knows. Then interaction started again making clear who he is with showers of details, present and those helping me to connect the dots of past events and intarctuons. Thank you again, it was brilliant ☺

So it seems that the side of Loki that I resonate and click with the most is the Loki that points out hypocrisy and calls out crap. It’s just the side that I resonate with and almost…embody(?) myself.
Loki worship is legit so I think it’s time the Nordic paganisms start accepting that

Love this. Thank you. I’ve always considered myself a fan of Loke, and other trickster gods. Perhaps because I’m a fan of disrupting the norm, and understand how that affects people’s view of you / tendency to label as a trouble maker, when often the idea catches on because it is in fact, creating growth. Very much enjoyed your videos about animism and trickster gods.

When the first two Thor movies came out, Ol' Tom Hiddleston was spotted in five different locations at the same time in my factory.
Walking through machinery or after talking to someone then vanishing. Leaving people thinking they were just .. talking .. with themselves.
Random person, " Why does Loki go around looking like the actor Tom Hiddleston ?"
Other plant worker, " Cause the actor Tom is who people think of when you mention Loki."
Random person, " Why do people think Tom looks like Loki ?"
Needless to say the Random person at work didn't see the Thor movies, cause of reasons.

he was with me, when I had a manic episode and was in the hospital for 14 something odd days. he came to me as a man, who was just there to be a helping set of hands, he told me to be strong and wait out the storm; that all i had to do was wait. he was as real as me. he had on a salmon shirt and drove a black chevy truck, i could see it from the window. he reminded me of a grandfatherly figure, and was twice as comforting. he may have appeared as a man, but had a strong feminine energy. for the short amount of time he was with me, i was content. even though i was in a state hospital and was being treated unfairly, loki never gave up on me. now days he shall be my patron deity. i come from a Baptist background. Jesus has never appeared to me, nor has he ever reached out to aid me. i am probably going to give up on that faith.

I can’t say I’m a Lokean, but I see Loki as a liminal spirit who is necessary for us in our material bodies to access the meta-creation in order to create. He’s not the only one, but is a very entertaining, cheeky “spirit” who is a breath of fresh air after stultifying dogma. My own connection is quite personal because my great-grandmother, a woman born in 1880s, would call Loki when I was a mischievous five year old. I asked finally who Loki is and she said a crazy man. 😂 Loki can be very dangerous, though. The closer one gets to his force, they can be lost in his whirlwind of creative chaos and be destroyed…often around the age 27. Don’t let him get a swell head or be bossy.

I agree with this view so very much. Loki can’t be categorized and is therefore very enticing. I have identified with Loki for many years and still am happy with the flexibility.
I do see him as a god on level with the other Norse gods but I only ask for his guidance and never to solve problems.
I don’t believe that there are rules to become Lokean because Loki would laugh at that.

I think the trickster as a figure is a perfect manifestation of our time (in western culture), refusing to be bound by any pre-classification but also not bestowing judgment according to it, being the thorn that reminds the advocates of order of the absurdity and constant change of reality, challenging moral and religious systems. Loki is freedom beyond good and evil, and yet both at the same time.

I don't know other Lokeans, so my relationship with Loki may seem strange. Loki can be mean, but like a brother. It will always be by your side when needed. It can be said that it is like fire, it can be dangerous if you do not treat it with respect.

I was on a trance journey to see Freya for the first time and Loki showed up before I could get to Asgard and brought Thor and Odin with him. I had never interacted with Thor before and couldn't understand why the three of them showed up. Loki said Freya was busy but he could help. He said "Look into my eye", so I did, and down the rabbit hole i went. I ended up in the Ironwoods with Angerbodha, who said she would teach me to change forms and gave me a wormy bowl of Jotun food. I changed into a wolf and hunted with a pack and found myself dancing around a bonfire in the middle of clearing in the woods. Apparently he felt I would benefit from meeting his girlfriend instead.

How does one not lose themselves in nothingness? Even if you are interested in pagan traditions or ancient faiths / belief systems /philosophies or ways of life... one has to study extensively if they wish to be able to understand more and learn more. Dive deeper into the subject. But what is the point of a forced reconstructionism? I have seen many that aim to be perfect at it. Frantically making sure they own all the symbols, books, signs and clothing not just because they desire it but as an effort to be actually accepted as what they aim to be. It feels wrong to me. Then again what differentiates a syncretic or even more vague neopagan and or someone without a believe in gods and particular supernatural powers but respect for nature (something along the lines of Pantheism and Agnostic ideas)? Then again people desire community. As far as I have seen many pagan belief systems indeed had a strong focus on community. Be it feasts or rituals shared with the family or friends and others... but there hardly are any larger communities for pagans, heathens and the like today that DO NOT require a certain set of values or beliefs in someone to be fitting to their own. After all it is hard to maintain a "community" if the ones within it have strongly differing views. Surely it can have events and such and be based on mutual respect but would it truly feel like you are not alone? I found myself (thinking about these things both in the present and the distant past) to be very alone with my thoughts, perception and views or ideas of spirituality. You often underline the importance of personal gnosis but what comes after? Or is it just a matter of learning how to feel satisfied with a personal set of belief you can not fully express to others- making you seem alien (I am sure this is fine for many people but not everyone can deal with this type of feeling). Christians, Jews, Muslims, Polytheists of large east Asian groups of faith... they can easily have a type of community. Clearly few would enjoy a strict or doctrine controlled type of community here. I too do not wish for it though I have not experienced it despite being raised in a Catholic country. But I am aware of people of these non-pagan religions- of larger more widespread systems of faith and ideas that can still find comfort themselves within their own smaller circles or personal spirituality (Christian or Islamic mysticism and esotericism are more common than one would believe). But I have seen that it is not uncommon for many new, truly Neo-Pagan and new Non-Abrahamic religions or faiths to still be greatly based on ideas and concepts coined by the monotheistic religions and their concepts. LaVey's Satanism or other such groups of course had different goals more distant from something truly spiritual or supernatural in experience but you shold see what I mean. Wiccans often too seem very reactionary to their commonly Christian surroundings (reactionary to be taken in the sense that statements of believe and ideas seem to be forcefully brought forth in reaction to something existing that is opposed to them) I am not saying it is bad or should not be done of course. I still find it very hard to truly believe or trust anything. And if it is as you say or the Lokeans and similar free spirits think it should be... I would feel dissatisfied and lost in a sort of void or nothingness. I suppose it is not truly nothing but rather disconnected, loose and shapeless absurdity without order, meaning or beauty. And I would not really want to perceive the world that way. It seems very difficult to both be true to yourself and also in touch and truly connected to your spirituality and believes without compromising. I just find that simply "being" and "doing as I please" does not lead to any sort of enlightenment or fulfillment. So I suppose my way of thinking or the way my mind works simply is not suited to the rough outline of lokean ideas you have given. I would simply feel empty and disturbed chaos and lack of intention or will. Because I feel that is the way the world is if you view it as it is without any sort of spirituality or special believe. Even wordly philosophy can only begin to describe it but it is truly a silent disaster. A storm without wind. A slaughter without blood or tears. Laughter and screams without joy or sound. Even nature's wild untamed beauty can appear shallow and as if it were just a reflection of something that isn't there today. But I shouldn't ramble in negativity. I truly enjoy these videos and the ideas and experiences shared. Even if I do not know if I will ever be able to say my believes could truly allign with what you can pagan or just polytheistic or more animist (which I am hardly are or were in my beliefs as far as I can recall or at least in no way you described). But I guess that is what a journey/life is about.

Loki is a Chaos god much like Set, the god of Chaos, whose symbol is a Donkey, known as an Ass, who lopped off his brothers One Eye Trouser Trout, pink like the salmon, he tossed into the sea, along with the other 13, we call the wheel of the Zodiac, Odin's Tree, where we find little Loki marked by the Sun, every summer solstice, found at the tip of Orin's Club, number 14.
Why does the words "They All Rule" played backwards says "Orion", is it a little trick, from his little Loki, held between Gemini and Taurus, is it a little trick too, a little Bull, that "Say Oath, They All Rule, Beyond the Mist" played backwards says "Gemini, Orion, Taurus".
Little Loki symbol is the donkey, just like the democrats, chaos is all they are about, bring out the wild wants of the people, who thinks not with their head but there Ass.
I would know, I be a MacCulo, 'Son of the Ass', fore the world has gone BatShit crazy, from Set's Animal, funny looking Hippo, fat like the symbol of the Republicans, blowing their own horns, "look at Me, Look at me, I know Right from Wrong, put me in front, I'll lead you to the truth," now you'll only be following the same Ass, Fore Set's animal both
If you thing I'm wrong Arith, here is a clue, Set got pregnant too
Set grew jealous of Osiris' power and resented his success. His resentment grew more bitter after his wife Nephthys, attracted by Osiris' beauty, disguised herself as Isis and seduced the great king, becoming pregnant with the god Anubis.

An entity can develop into a god or fill a god like role without being one originally. Loki's had thousands of years to do so. And if we're going to talk about the Jotnar, Odin and Thor are half giant (and if I remember correctly Frigga is as well). To lump them all as malefic (or say only full blooded ones are) is grossly reductive and inappropriate, especially when chaos and order need each other to balance things out. Also? The myths do not document all of the things the gods and entities in it do or why which is part of why we need to be open minded and averse to sticking to such labels on entities, especially those we have no experiences with, as malicious.

I dont understand the fixation on Laufeys Son, personally...especially this new trend of outright worshipping him. Jotnar were never venerated historically, and to do so now is foolish when we're just climbing out of the decline - so many supposed Heathens claim alleigence to the Holy Tribes, yet practically lick the ass of the one to lead the army of the dead against them at the next Ragnarockr based soly upon their own UPG - I hear all the time "Loki gets a bad rap, he's good to me and would never deceive anyone!"...yeah, exactly what a liar would say, no?

    •  ปีที่แล้ว +6

Hey there, sorry for the late reply, it was my father's birthday and then climbing mountains, literally. Indeed, there are no evidences of Jötun worship, but why should the past dictate the present? Just because a certain "type" of entities were not worshipped in the past, that doesn't mean people nowadays can't try to create some form of connection with them. I mean, how not to create new forms of folklore, traditional folk magic and new belief systems? (It's a rhetorical question).
It's not possible to stop people from having new interactions with the environment we constantly engage with. We are alive, we keep having new experiences, we keep having imagination, dreams, desires, and this will lead anyone to express their creativity in whichever way to establish a better connection with everything that gives us an important meaningful experience. When we wish to keep having the same experiences, or the desire to further explore and enhance the lived-emotions of such experiences, we express behaviour that in turn creates new beliefs, meanings, ritual and art.
In the past 100 years there's been quite a strong elitism within Neo-paganism; a fervent need to reconstruct past behaviours and mindsets, but also the denial and prevention of new beliefs and new forms of worship or any other expression of both ritual and pragmatic behaviour towards belief. An attempt to keep "old faiths" as "true" as possible, of which we barely know enough to truly make any historically accurate reconstructions, not to mention that several behaviours and mentalities of the past we no longer agree with and lost their purpose, because we have evolved as a society and we have different needs, perspectives and new meaningful experiences.
It's not possible to stop people from having new interactions with the world and its persons. To try otherwise is fruitless and creates spiritual stagnation. Trying to control people's imagination is the death of creativity, leading to the destruction of that which makes us humans: the ability to establish relationships with land and its persons, be those human, animal and the Others.
Embrace creativity and the fervent passion for communication with all things that create a deep meaningful experience beyond the generally assumed perceptive reality.
Continue with artistic expressions of creativity; turning dream and desire into manifestations that can be shared with the world, enriching human spirit.
