Google has updated their security (removing "Less Secure apps" ) setting & this video shows how to setup & use Gmail successfully.
The tutorial shows how to setup Scan to Email (Gmail) with Embedded Web Server on the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283 printer.
I'm not one for leaving comments on youtube videos, but you Sir are a gentleman and scholar. Thank you so much! I bought this printer after looking over a vast number of reviews and chose the M283fdw. It's been great for printing but I always had an issue with scans to gmail, and the HP "online help" is total BS to put it politely. Your simple video of ~7mins resolved the issue which HP's website / online chat / bots could not do. Cheers mate!

So frustrated. The first video said to turn off 2 verification. This one says to turn it on and the second option, app passwords isn't even an option! I'm lost!

Dear sir, google doesn’t have an “app password” option after the 2 step verification at least not now, there is no possibility to generate a password code for scan to email setup.
