Don't forget Eternity Isle had a time theme bringing the very different biomes together, so I think this expansion will be the real Classic fairytails. Imagine landing at Prince Charming's castle, wandering thru Snow White's forest, going deeper and deeper until things get weird and you realize you're in Wonderland.

I think it’s going to be a Fairy Tale themed DLC. So many of the first movies opened with a book.

The perching branch above the book makes me think it's Merlin's book with a place for Archimedes to rest.
I don't think the spell book is hinting exactly who the villain will be as much as hinting at the map and biome of the expansion. Last year, the hint was hourglass and desert, and we guessed that it would have a desert biome and aladdin theme. I think the speel book hinting that the next island will be focus more on a medieval/fantasy/ european forest type world.
This is a good move because as time goes on and we get more and more disney fairytale like characters in game, we will have less and less room for forest of valor, and this new dlc would be perfect to add more area for those type of themes to be placed.
As for who the main villain will be, i don't know. But i do hope they add Princess Aurora in there. She is one of the few most hopeful i have.
Yup! I've seen people mention here that it may potentially be classic fairy tale -themed, and the first three to come to mind were Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty. I would love it if they got added, I think they'd go well together. But, who knows! I wouldn't have expected to get Gaston, Rapunzel and Jafar (and Oswald) in the same expansion so we'll just have to wait and see 🤔

I’m starting to think maybe it is in reference to a future DLC island being a storybook land. Many of the classic Disney movies opened with a storybook. Our first look at eternity isle was on a roadmap with the hourglass. So maybe there will be a new tool related to something with story telling.
9:00 YAAASSSSS! The second I saw that book, I thought of the Evil Queen’s grimoire. Now, this got me thinking: every new game introduces the Player to a different kind of magic. Dreamlight Valley introduced us to “Dreamlight”. A Rift in Time introduced time bending. What if this expansion introduces us to actual spell casting? Like, we have have to remember magic incantations or (like in the Wizard carer in Sims Medieval) learn spells through alignment of runes?
Maybe real potions? Like something that make you recolecting more productive without a character.
I don’t think it’s a sinister book in any way. Maybe it could relate to the “story” mode of DDV continuing with Merlin? The next part of the original story line!
Like maybe it will continue the story with the skull rock? And Merlin is starting the story with reading this book to our characters
I think the branch looks like a perch for Archimedes (Owl from Sword & The Stone). 👀👀👀 I definitely got Merlin vibes immediately when I saw the teaser.

I think it'll be the Evil Queen. One cause Snow White is the first Disney Princess movie/Animated movie and was released 12/21. Around the same time as the update.

I'm thinking it has something to do with Merlin, that branch that you said looked like an apple tree, looks like a perch for a bird, such as Merlin's owl, Archimedes. I'm getting Merlin, Sword and the Stone vibes.
The second the book and stand came up I said that's the Sorcerer and the Stone. I think it's going to do with Merlin's magic and it's going to combine someone else's magic. Such as his magic goes wonky after a weird spell and it brings something to the Valley by accident and that person is a villain. It would need to be something that will take time to tell the story, like Jafar did, so I think it'll be a whole magical blunder thing involving Merlin.
The book being a story book...well, I mean Merlin did say that Story magic was incredibly powerful during our quests to get into the Dark Valley, so who knows!
Based on the book alone, yes, I think we’re getting some kind of storybook land with a Sword in the Stone-inspired biome, and maybe pirates because the blog post said tide you over, and yes I think the big bad might be the Evil Queen from Snow White.

Don’t forget about the recipe/spell book from The Adventures of the Gummi Bears. Their show was hugely referenced in the Duck Tales reboot a few years ago
I work in film industry making Disney trailers, and I strongly believe that the reason why they’re bringing Timon and Pumba to the valley in November is because of Mufasa’s release in December, and that book belongs to Snow White which live action will ralease in 2025. My kingdom hearts brain saw a storybook on a pedestal and immediately thought of Winnie the Pooh's book in Merlin's hut. I know people don't think that's the case but I would be so thrilled if it was.

As a kid- I used to watch Sunday night Magical world of Disney- it almost always opened/ ended with Jiminy Cricket at a story book podium saying goodnight or welcoming us to the movie/ show- the Pinocchio book you mention… it was the first thing I thought of when I saw the podium… I’m going to see if I can find a shot of it…
That branch on the book could be for like, the Evil Apple. The Evil Queen read from a spell-book to create it. It's clearly our Paid Expansions, so a big face like her taking part in the problems going down there would be appropriate - especially when there's a movie coming out. The Evil Queen is big enough that like Jafar, she can lead the villainy of an EP.

I think it resembles a Story Book which might hint to a continuation of the Storyline. I’m curious if DDV is doing something like Story(Act 1), then DLC (A Rift In Time), then Story(Act 2), then late 2025 is DLC again.

While watching this Peter pan and the lost boys came to mind. It gives tree vibes and the one thing they wanted was a mother to tell them stories. Pair that with the fact that we haven't had any going on with skull rock and Peter pan items showing up recently in the premium shop.... could we be getting Captain Hook as our new villain?
As for the Evil Queen we already have elements of her outfit. I would LOVE to see her as a big story line like the forgetting. Maybe she is the key to the OGs like Snow White and Cinderella.
The Pinocchio theme actually makes sense to me because of the tree branch, it could easily represent how he is made from wood.

The perch makes me thinks Archimedes, the sparkles on the book and the feel makes me think snow white’s storybook, but my heart wants this to be Giselle from Enchanted 🥲

So in sword in the stone ( one of my fav Disney movies) we have mad madam mim. She is a shape shifter / witch and would be a super fun character
What if they are giving us more information with the book than we suspect? For example, the book/stand could be hinting at something with merlin, the candles hinting at the Evil Queen? A couple hints? Or they could be doing the usual, and making us hype over nothkng
I think something in the lines of: Princess realm. When I saw the book I immediately thought of the Storybooks you can find in the Disney Casltes of the Parks (I posted pics of this in the Discord chat). It would also explain why they would wait with releasing snowwhite, cinderella and Sleeping beauty. It is a good expantion to release, because everyone wants those characters, so people will _probably_ buy it. It is just a win-win in my head.

Evil queen is my theory. Maleficent is the big bad in disney magic kindom mobile game. I hope they dont wait to long to add her.

It’s also giving me the fairies spell book in the cottage during the cake scene! So could be sleeping beauty or fairies. But I agree with the idea of a storybook land.
Sally update is obviously going to be the halloween/christmas starpath and the chimney is going to be a reward in it.
I’m ngl I have 0 theory of who it could be (Maleficent is my fave villain from my fave childhood Disney movie so would love her) but love seeing everyone’s theories it’s really motivating me to get back into playing more often I love this 🥰🥰
With the live action Snow White moving coming next year I believe I almost wonder if that really is on the horizon which I would be so excited for!!

I'm going to go with Pinocchio. My reasons for this other than the books, candles and sparkles (like the blue fairy's sparkles) is that branch. At one point, his nose turns into a branch with leaves on it. We also just got Figaro who is from that movie.

My theory on the surveys is they have portions pre planned and portions letf open ended for what we may want. Ive noticed some characters and updates are very overaching story heavy, yet others arnt and could be switched out more easily for someone else.
As for the who is the dlc hinting at i agree its likely not maleficent given shes likely gunna be key to the main storyline of dreamlight valley. Ive suspected for a while she played a big part in the forgotten and night thorns
I would love for it to mean a storybook isle which will include Madam Mim. Who else would be better to rival Merlin? Of course it’s just a wish and a want. I’ll be happy with a new expansion to gain more biomes, items, foods, dishes and gems. ❤ I want Cinderella so badly. I am hoping for a princess expansion.
I think it’s Merlin and introducing the rest of the story so we can finally use that sample of his we picked up. Hopefully it ties in skull rock!!!

It looks like the pedestal for the 100 acre wood from Kingdom Hearts which was in Merlin’s house
I think the book is annotated in the side and it isn't 2 columns. There's the weird line outside the outside column that doesn't make it look like a normal part of the book.
Also I think it could be saying type of recipe book based on the design. Not sure about the in game purpose but it gives me recipe book vibes.
I know that it is in the part talking about a showcase but with it on the side of the expansion pass I wonder if the book is going to have something to do with a future expansion and act as the royal tool for said expansion like the hourglass.
Although another idea if it isn’t related to specific characters is that it will be a tool that allows to do certain things that have been requested and even mentioned on the poll, like creating seasons or moving the ponds.
Idk why but i have a feeling it's also gonna be something mixed like Eternity Isle and my thoughts is that i think it could be based around Beauty and the Beast too, i know we arleady have Belle, Beast and Gaston to the game but there are also supposed to be Lumiere and Cogsworth coming to the game which the picture make sense too, there are melted candles representing Lumiere, the tree branch representing Cogsworth as (I think, i dont know) he is made out of wood, sounds far fetched i know. And then the book in the middle representing Belle's love for books as she is a bookworm

I feel like it has more of a wizard aesthetic more than anything. If you look at the spine of the book in the roadmap it's a red book. The book in the opening of the Sword in the Stone is also red, so it could just be related to Merlin. However the book itself does also look similar to the red spell book of Yen Sid from Fantasia so it could be related to that considering we do have the enchanted broom in the game. So maybe we'll get sorcerer's apprentice mickey or something along the lines of Fantasia? I really don't think it relates to any villains though.

Based on the evidence presented in the video, its highly likely that its the evil queen. But it could also be hinting at Jiminy Cricket or Madame Mim.
Honestly I'm hoping for a mix of different characters like they did in the rift of time. It was really interesting to see. I liked the theory of the book being Pinocchio of from the sword in the stone, those are better theories then what I came up with. At first I also thought of Winnie the Pooh because of the story book look, and the fact Winnie the Pooh was originally a book like Alice in Wonderland. Now I have no clue.
I think it may be Milo's book, the Shepherd's Journal, from Atlantis since there are so many hints to the movie in Dream light Valley already. I feel like the creators of DDLV are big fans. We've also had his outfit recently. He could be our guide to this new world.

I personally think it's Pinocchio because his book has a red bookmark and candle near the book, while snow white also has a candle near her book too but her book is white with green bookmark. Sleeping Beauty, Robin Hood and Sword In The Stone don't have a bookmark in there books.

I'm hoping we get a new dlc with a new world that has a new set of biomes. An enchanted forest with Snow White and Auroas castles and maybe a small town in between with Gepetto's house and maybe since they love to give us new stuff whether we want it or not, Asha. The Evil Queen would be amazing. She'll be walking around the valley all sassy and mean like she is at Disney.
It could also be Yen Sid's book from the Sorcerer's apprentice.

Evil Queen is a good guess. Disney is releasing the live action Snow White in 2025, the queen being played by Gal Gadot.

Well, I mean the sparkles could just be the dreamlight sparkles that come off of all our villagers, good and bad, so I don't think the sparkles can hint at whether it's a good or bad character. In any case, I hope the ending of Eternity Isle has a cutscene hinting at the villain just like the main story did so that we can get more clear information on what this is all about. :)

The live action Snow White trailer was released and will be here in 2025, I bet we will get the new content for Snow White a month or so before the movie
This is 100% not Maleficent. I know people want her (I do too.. she’s my favorite villain), but they are definitely saving Maleficent for a larger, story-completing update. Disney treats her as one of, if not the biggest villain.. there’s no way they’d rush her into the DDV storyline. She’s going to have a lot of build up I’m sure. I guarantee we get Skull Rock squared away before Maleficent comes. I wouldn’t be surprised if The Forgotten has some connection to Maleficent in some way. There’s a much larger story that they have here, I’m sure of it.

I think a Snow White centered expansion would be good since it would most likely come with a new Forest Biome and perhaps a Cottagecore styled town biome. I just hope we'll get Snow White (or Aurora) like how we got Rapunzel on Eternity Isle.
Would be neat if Fairy Godmother was the "guide" for the new expansion to give our Merlin a break. However, I'd love for Merlin to be reunited with Archimedes.

The evil queen used in in the 1938 movie, plus she is technically Disney’s first movie villain.
You know, it was “Tide you over” …. So is this roadmap is base on water? It would make sense for Pinocchio and have to possibly help him become a real boy and save his father??
The problem I have for the storybook theories is that almost all of the storybooks in the films have a LOT of drawn images in them. None are stacks of just words like is shown. Also I can see why people are saying Winnie the Pooh, if you look closely at the pages there's what looks like a tipped over honey pot outline on both of them. Perhaps it's just going to be something we as players can use to do more spells of our own or to create really magical things.
It reminds me of the Evil Queens' spellbook. I believe the marker in that book is also red and she has candles in her dungeon area. It's also wishful thinking for me.

What if the book is its self a new area? Like u have to jump in to the book to fix characters stories.
I'm not feeling a sinister vibe with the book. I get the feeling of story telling. Pinocchio is where my mind goes first. Maybe we'll have to craft him, that would be cool.
It does also look very Sword in the Stone. The tree branch makes me think of the squirrel chase through the trees and owl perches. Maybe Madem Mim? Archimedes would be a fun companion.

I really like this theory. I also think that Maleficent will be one of the final big bads in the main story, she's just too iconic of a villain. Plus, this would be a better way to introduce (some of) the 7 dwarves or other less popular princesses like Merida.
