  • In this new video I will make a comparison of the military equipment that the Chilean armed forces have with respect to its three neighbors, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru. Chile in the 1970s was threatened with war by Peru who wanted to recover the territories lost in the Pacific War of 1879. And with Argentina, the Beagle Conflict almost ended in a full-scale war. And Bolivia, although it has never been a threat to Chile, its desire for a sovereign outlet to the sea would mean that in the event of a military conflict, they would take advantage of the situation. That is why Chile since the 1980s has used the "Neighborhood Hypothesis 3", also called Triple HVM, the MAXIMUM NEIGHBORHOOD HYPOTHESIS. This means that Chile sees its three neighbors as potential enemies and has prepared its armed forces in such a way that they are in a position to face a war simultaneously with all 3 at the same time. For the purposes of this video I will call Bolivia, Peru and Argentina the triple alliance. With this clarified and knowing these antecedents, we begin with the video, to see what you think.
