Interesting that this purely traditional rendition, is located on a channel called "Progressive" Bluegrass. This is just like the original Dillards' arrangement where Mitch Jayne, the bass player, doesn't sing a harmony part. Nice work on remaining faithful to a hallowed classic, boys!
Totally non-blugrassers here. Just because you use our instruments doesn't mean a thing. We let Doc and Tony in. But you and Steve Martin can just go back to where you came from. BTW, if you don't come off those Marlboros Billy, you'll be going the way of Tony
RIP Tony Rice.
Amazing
The more I listen to this group, the more I like them. The harmonizing keeps getting better and better.
I like listening to Billy pick ‘at gee-tar. That’s one of my favorite classic Bluegrass tunes. They did pretty good on it.
If any version approaches or bests the original, this is the one. Stunning, BS & company! 🎶

I don't care what anyone thinks but this boy and his band are best at straight-up bluegrass.
Amen to that, Brother!!
Billy is the best flat picker alive. Maybe ever.
@@SgtStickyTits and Tony rice of course
@@gabemoore3189 Without a doubt.
u got that right!

Woooooo
❤️ one of the first tunes i learned on mandolin being performed by the hottest band in the country 🔥
Dude is the real deal
Doug Dillard is smiling
So crazy they wrote this tune! Sounds so old to be under 60 yrs old 🤣
Off the hook
There are no 'hollers' in Michigan.
I think it would be hard to follow Billy's solo!!! You would have to let the smoke clear a little bit so you could see what you're doing!!!
Yo shaw whos billys new mandolin player?
jarrod walker.
Really good playing but horrible Harmony. Listen how Billy strings and his dad used to harmonize then you'll see what I mean.
Check out Mo Pitney and Johnny Meyer's version.
Perfection is boring.
