That's called it a goiter Sharks get them when they don't have enough iodine in their diet so you have to put iodine supplement on their food or you can feed them shrimp crab Lobster that will help any crustacean also remove your protein skimmer and dose iodine to the water remove carbon

I would say that's a Goiter and not a tumor. It needs to be treated asap, at that size it will be very painful and will definitely affect its ability to feed. Is not uncommon in pet sharks and usually can be resolved relatively easily
Iodine is one of the best treatments but I can't recommend dosages accurately from a vid. There are several websites that will show how to treat it and help the poor shark, that shark has probably been suffering for a while but, the goiter probably doubled in size while in the bag, through stress and bumping it. Good look hope you save it

Yep spot on! Looks like a Goiter to me. Good water quality (low nitrates) and high iodine diet will help it shrink. High nitrates in the bag most likely caused it to balloon up along with stress

Contact the marine biology department of your nearest university. Im sure someone there can help identify the issue. If it is a tumor or some kind of cyst i would demand a refund from the seller asap for sending a obviously ill shark. If u can, i would file with your card company asap also

your shark unfortunately has a goiter and needs to be treated for it ASAP. If this bump gets too big, it will prevent the shark from being able to eat and it will unfortunately pass away from starvation. The goiter develops pretty slowly, so It’s a good idea to do a health check on your shark at least once per week. I do a check when I feed mine. It’s a lot easier when they are target trained so that you can have them come up to the surface for a piece of their food for an easy inspection. This way you can get a look at their chin in order to monitor for a goiter. If you notice that your shark currently has a goiter of any size on it’s chin

I love y’all and all the videos, but as fish guys I think it’s important to lead other fish guys and girls in the right direction with the hobby/passion. It’s important to do as much research as possible about each species you decide to purchase or catch and keep. I’ve never had any sharks in my aquariums but I instantly knew that was a goiter, because of the research I did on caring for captivity bred sharks.
Either this shark was born with this because of thyroid problems and hatching distress, or the seller that you got it from wasn’t taking proper care of the diet.
Iodine intake can help so I suggest a supplement or feeding it unshelled shrimp or crab to supplement the iodine. But at the size of the goiter, it looks like the seller left it untreated for a while. I’d love to see treatment updates once y’all start it, it would help out other fish guys and girls.

They are not about education, research or intelligence they are a fish hype duo who do no research, no animal care but they go for the clickbait titles, they suffer astounding losses of fish and no follow through on idea and promises. But as long as those who live for the 15 second adrenaline surge keep feeding likes they will keep getting money for not being responsible.

f you notice that your aquarium shark has developed a bump on their chin, your shark unfortunately has a goiter and needs to be treated for it ASAP. If this bump gets too big, it will prevent the shark from being able to eat and it will unfortunately pass away from starvation. The goiter develops pretty slowly, so It’s a good idea to do a health check on your shark at least once per week. I do a check when I feed mine. This way you can get a look at their chin in order to monitor for a goiter. If you notice that your shark currently has a goiter of any size on it’s chin, this article will teach you how to identify it, troubleshoot it and treat it.
So what is a goiter anyway? It’s a thyroid gland that becomes enlarged due to an iodine deficiency. This can be caused by a dietary deficiency or by exposure to excess nitrates. The goiter will appear as if your shark is growing a “chin” so to speak and will then get larger over time. It is imperative that once you start to notice the bump that you take action right away. Here is how to troubleshoot and figure out what it causing it:

And your outdoor pond you should always put your pump up on something at least 6 to 8 inches off the bottom. That way if your filter or line-breaks or starts to leak for some unforseen reason outside the tank your water will not completely drain to the bottom and kill all your fish. And I would start treating that goiter with iodine, it's a really nice shark it would be terrible to lose it.
