    I don't see how it is more expensive to have a health aide come to one's house rather than being at a facility 24/7 where you are using their water, their electricity, and their food.

    As a private caregiver for years,... and one who knows much of the inside stories of many nursing homes... I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND you do surprise visits at ANYTIME of the day or NIGHT. I especially recommend late night and early rise and shine time. You may be surprised by what you see.... If you're there in the morning when they're getting people up.... ask how many they have on staff, see if your Loved one needs the bathroom and if someone is available to help.... My point is,.... Let these people knowing that you ARE THE KIND OF PERSON WHO WILL STOP IN AT 👉ANYTIME👈 to check on things!!! I am not kidding about this!!! Do not be predictable, as you may walk right into a situation you did not expect.... But, better to know the truth, than have your Loved one not well taken care of.
    My best to you, and all of your family.
    🙏Stay safe.

    I am definitely going to purchase this book. It is so difficult to keep up with the regs - even Obamacare is making changes. Are these changes in the book? Hopefully.

    The current system is so sad. $6,000 per month for "medical care" when in reality you have a minimum wage person doing all the care and a handful of real medical staff on call somewhere.

    None of this would be relevant if we all had universal healthcare...

    • @TES-bt8sv
      @TES-bt8sv 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      dale3858 That's sad that you think that way. Think about what you said. Who pays for universal health care? Nothing changes under universal health care; the poor and those who never saved money don't pay. And the responsible people who sacrificed and saved, pay everything. Your school of thought is why this country is 18 trillion dollars in debt!

    • @dale3858

      TE S I'm well aware of what I said so I don't have to think about it. We are 18 trillion in debt because of banks that gave out loans to people that couldn't pay it back, then we bailed out these same banks. Then there's the unjust war in Iraq, it costs a lot of cash to kill 500,000 to 1 million innocent people, and the people that waged that war then stole trillions of dollars more, most Americans needed a fall guy so they blamed the poor...
      The only alternative is to let poor Americans die, which I'm sure with all the hateful Americans out there today most won't have a problem with that.
      Most Americans that don't want the poor to have healthcare call themselves Christians...Sick!!!
      I think it's sad that you and many Americans think that way because you're holding up progress...
      Also, everybody pays taxes in the things we buy, rich and poor alike. I also pay real estate taxes, the taxes I pay go to help educate the children in my town, I don't have any children but I still have to pay to educate these children, and to think that most of these kids are conceived on a Friday or Saturday night after getting a buzz on and having fun having SEX, but I have to pay anyway, I don't hear anyone bitching about that...I don't normally bitch about it because I realize kids need to be educated. I pay and my income is less than 10k per year. I'm a veteran who volunteered for Vietnam and if you had your way I'm sure you'd want to refuse me heathcare. Real nice...
      We have always lived in a socialized country disguised as a capitalist country, every bill you have is figured out on losses, when the twin towers fell everybody's homeowners insurance doubled, your elec bill and everything else is figured that way. Drunk drivers that kill people in car accidents has a lot to do with your car insurance costs. Etc etc etc...

    When was insurance, Government programs... ever easy to understand. They do this on purpose 🤔me thinks!
