A phenomenally changed life. The gift of His Holy Spirit. Love, grace and hope beyond what the world can give. Seek Him sincerely and then you will know.
An example of how during the 40 days of Lent, Satan will try to tempt us to give into things that we normally think our better, good food, wealth, money, temptation in general. But if you resist, you can learn that there is something greater than all of this. The light and blessings of God.
thought this video was really inspiring. showed it to a group of students and they loved it. comments, "deep" "cant explain how i feel in words", pictures and music work so well. describe gods love for us and also that we are not alone.!
As a seminarian, I am balling my eyes out. I really needed to see this video. My meditations of this passage will be so much more meaningful now. God bless the person who created the images, and sang this song. I am elated.
Some of the comments here have me aghast...such profound immaturity in the criticisms. Did you not notice the red tinged apple, serpent, Satan himself? The agony of Jesus was palpable. Please, accepted my most sincere, heartfelt gratitude to the cartoonist. The music is oh, so very appropriate. Well done! Bravo!
@JadeyGurl101 That's awesome! Yeah I have to not listen to this song in the car because I tear up every time I hear it. I know that the artist also cried during one of his performances. Thanks for sharing! Jesus is awesome!
cuan grande es su amor, 40 dias y 40 noches sin agua y sin comida rechazando las tentaciones que le ha puesto satanas... me hace llorar, me hace amarlo mas y mas cada dia. =) Te amo tanto Jesus!
Overcoming temptations are hard and there are some temptations that we think we can't over come no matter how much we try. But just before thinking about giving up, think about what Jesus did for us. He thought about us to go through all this ordeal to sacrifice for us. Then with that power of faith in Jesus, we can overcome our temptations.
@MyDesignerGuy I honestly thought this was one of the best collection of images that shows the heart of Christ as he resists temptation and fights off Satan (the artist does an awesome theological interpretation by drawing Satan in the image of Christ). Sometimes the Satan we battle is ourselves. There are clearly scene where Christ is tempted. The characters or things that are in red are the temptations. Are we watching the same video?!?! haha...
It is more right then Satan being depicted as an ugly beast with horns. The miss conception that Satan is ugly and evil looking is an injustice to the word. While his spirit is evil his outwardly appearance is very beautiful.
That is a theological statement about how we can blame satan for our temptations but we are really battling ourselves in the end. Jesus was fighting his own temptations...
@magicsimmer I am so blessed to hear that! I am also a seminarian. I actually made this for our class devotional. I'm sure God is doing some good stuff in you like he has done to me! God bless!
+Rebecca Burdullis Yes you can can u private message me? Supposedly being over 30 means I can't work technology. I can't figure out out to private message you on youtube...
A seminarian is someone who goes to seminary. School for to get a masters degree in something related to ministry. You get a degree in order to be a pastor, music director, or just to learn more about faith.
why arnt none of us in the desert fasting with no FOOD OR WATER?on pure faith.this is what i want to do. look at him...look at him lol. he said to follow his ways, isnt this to follow his ways?
I think you're right that the devil can often become a scapegoat and used to avoid taking personal responsibility for sin ("it's not my fault, the devil made me do it). But, the Bible is pretty clear about Jesus' temptation being from the external source of the devil. Certainly Jesus was hungry and the devil recognizes this and uses it in his tempting; but, to say that Jesus is fighting is own temptations I think is reading too much into the text.
I can give you proofs of his word & his creation but there is no proof that God doesn't live and there is massive proof that his words is true. Everyday Science proves the word as it is written. 19 For what can be known about God is perfectly plain to them, since God has made it plain to them: 20 ever since the creation of the world, the invisible existence of God and his everlasting power have been clearly seen by the mind's understanding of created things. And so these people have no excuse:
A phenomenally changed life. The gift of His Holy Spirit. Love, grace and hope beyond what the world can give. Seek Him sincerely and then you will know.
I watch this every time Lent comes around :) it reminds me to never give in to temptations
I listed to this song in my school assembly and started cryin in the middles :') Didnt care that people stared at me

It was nice until Satan looked like a red Jesus...

Give me proof. -_-
That is all
I get the idea but I still think it's a poor representation, Jesus battled temptations presented to Him by Satan.
