From Season 6, Episode 24 'Edith's Night Out': Edith takes matters into her own hands when Archie continually refuses to treat his wife to one night out on the town. An evening at Kelsey's Bar shows Archie that Edith is no social wallflower.

I’d love to have a wife like Edith not because she waits on her husband hand and foot. She’s just the most caring person and would do anything for anyone. She’s such a wonderful person, Archie can be really cruel to her at times….
I've actually cared like Edith but was treated horribly , worse than Archie treats Edith .

It's been awhile since I've seen this full episode; if I remember correctly, Archie's goes to Kelsey's Bar later to find Edith having the time of her life. She's the life of the party, Archie's bar buddies think she's great and asks him why he doesn't bring Edith sometimes, and Archie is kind of confused & embarrassed. Edith, you GO GIRL!!!

I was married to a Palestinian Muslim,some 30 years ago. My life was exactly like that. I had to sit in the house 24/7, except for when I went to work. Never got to go out, ever. HE went out a lot though. Thank God I didn't have any children with him!!! I held it together for ONE year, then I left him. My life has been wonderful since then❤

Archie was so grumpy and mean to everyone around him, especially his family. I know there's a heart under that gruff exterior, but we never really saw it until later seasons.

This is where i didn't like what Archie did!!! She had every right to go out!! He was horrible to her ..here!! There were time she wasn't afraid to stand up 2 him!!

Edith realized Archie never wants to take her out when he’s out he wanted to get away from her he said sometimes she realizes it’s a truth so she didn’t falling apart she too strong 💪 of this so she takes matters of her hands she going out of the night of the town and had fun with or without him now it’s her turn to getting away from him tonight 👏🏾👍🏿

I wonder why archie married edith
Archie loves Edith becuase he knows how amazing, kind, and compassionate she is. She loves him with her whole heart. In every episode when he crossed the line, he would do anything to get her back because he knows that she is the greatest thing in his life. He just has a difficult time expressing his emotions especially those of love and affection.
