    This is kinda sad, but aslo like long term mowing. The scrub comes back pretty aggressive sometimes too. Looks like the bigger trunks just disintegrate under the pressure. But the soil looks pretty powdery and loose (comparatively) too

    What are the sizes of those trees? They must be shallow rooted to easily do that!

      My neighboe cleared a whole qtr of land using same rechnique. Bug dozer and 4wd tractor pulling heavy cable. Poplar trees dodnt have a chance. 2 yeats later field was seeded.

    If only mulching it in was more cost efficient way of doing it,leave the goodies in the ground and help retain moisture.I see the goodness from the trees lost in burning them,I do understand the costs in mulching ,really expensive.

      Ash is actually good fertilizer. The good components don't vanish. This is why bush fires are good for new growth.

    Trees must be no more than 2 feet or less in diameter with weak root systems with no cutting necessary

    I am i bolldozer driver my self now this is for clearing land that makes it go faster that only using blade so the next step is rake it up and burn then i think this guys will plow after all that and then its ready well it all depends wat they want the land for

      So if I have about 3 acres of land to clear (in Mississippi) with similar trees (not sure what breed but look to be the same size as the one in the video) would this be the best way to clear the land? I’m trying to build a home.

    Everybody saying they love this.... This is pure madness! all of this habitat for birds mammals bugs. just gone so we can make houses so we stay cozy while these animals have nowhere to sleep at night! This is just sad.

      As someone who live 30 minutes from where this was flimed 60-70% of the brush cleared was invasive species and the land is used for cattle, not housing. I've seen other wildlife in the same field with some of the native tree growing back

      Clear the ground for pioneer species to re-establish a proper habitat, or to clear land and allow for elk, deer, and other ungulates of the great plains to take foothold again.
      Of course it is abused for outright land-clearing.

    What you call wasteland others might call the habitat. Why not just walk through the area and knock things over with your dragging knuckles. I suppose you have to have some deep felt contempt for nature to do this job.
