Dinkar P. Srivastava joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1978. In 1993-94, as Director (UNP), he was part of successful Indian lobbying efforts against four Pakistani attempts to have resolutions on J&K adopted in UN General Assembly and UN Commission on Human Rights. He was involved in the drafting of National Human Rights Commission statute. As Joint Secretary (UNP), he participated in Indian lobbying efforts to contain the diplomatic fallout of the Pokhran II nuclear tests and prevent the internationalization of the J&K issue during the Kargil war (1999). He dealt with Indian candidature for permanent membership of the UN Security Council, UN Peace-keeping and Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism. He was a member of the Indian delegations to the World Conference on Human Rights in 1993, and the International Court of Justice in the case of Aerial Incident of 1999 (Pakistan v. India). In 2011-15, as Indian Ambassador to Iran, he negotiated the MOU for Indian participation in Chabahar Port.
His book 'Forgotten Kashmir: The Other Side of the Line of Control' examines the evolution of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) over the past seven decades. It includes major milestones like the 'tribal' invasion in 1947-48, the Sudhan revolt in the 1950s, the Ayub era, the Simla Agreement, the adoption of an 'Interim Constitution of 1974' and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The work of Narendra Singh Sarila, echoed by Dinkar ji as well as the Pakistani historian Ishtiaq Ahmed demonstrates that the entire nation of Pakistan was created merely as a tool for British strategy. Karma eventually catches up, no matter how much time it takes. Britain will someday face the consequences of their actions. In fact, given the mess that immigrants of Pakistani origin have wreaked upon Britain, one can safely say that they're already paying for it.

British,US & western power’s conspiracy to halt the then Soviet Union has not succeeded ( Russian invasion of Ukraine) . China has now replaced USSR in this region . Now the same nexus is trying to use Ukraine to confront Russia & India to counter China . Have we learnt from the past?

Very correct ! Those who have long been in glory don't just give away their holdings. They make arrangements to ensure their political requirements are not jeapardized. One way of doing it was first to have both party in power as well as the party in oppostion in their pockets

That colonial Britain is now America. The new Britain has quietly colonized most of the world, covertly rather. If not for this new Britain and its “generosities”, Pak would’ve ceased to exist decades ago.

Excellent analysis of the situation, sir. All in all, what the facts are the time has come for Modi government to take over PoK, Gilgit and Baltistan. It should be done no later than Jan. ‘24.

😢 I am so angry and disturbed to hear the events of torture. Remember my parents used to narrate it when we were kids. It didn’t get registered that time but now I wonder with disgust How can one not support your own but enemies?

When Subhash asked for dictator ship after independence, gandhi and Nehru condemned it, but Nehru become sudo dictator, for many international decisions he never try to take consent from cabinet, including going u.n for kashmir issue, Patel tried to stop him, but he closed door of akashwani for Patel. These are puppet of Britishers, acted like foolish king on the name of democracy.

Major Brown was Capt when brig Gansara Singh governor was taken prisoner in Nov.1947. Till Nov,1947, Gilgit Baltistan was held by lt col. Thapa of Maharaja forces. In nov, he withdrew as reinforcements from India did not come. So this area was given on a platter to Pakistan.
