This even solved my cross eye problem, now people can focus on the conference instead of focusing at me. Or they can keep staring and use maxine.
Can you test it on people with nystagmus? It’s a condition where someone cannot control their eye movements (eyes noticeably shake) and it’s very awkward for some who doesn’t know about it see a person with it the first time. Think job interviews, meetings, etc that get done via zoom etc.

Perfect, everything works great. But if I can't get it to work in TEAMS or ZOOM it's useless. How do I make these programs recognize the webcam with the MAXINE effect?
NGL this was enough for me to download the Maxine SDK... I am not even a programmer, I'm an actor/streamer. But until someone releases a standalone exe to play with, guess I'll be learning to program the hardest way possible 😂

You know, as a person who likes tech a lot, I'm very interested in all the AI developments. As a teacher, I feel increasingly frustrated by how difficult it is becoming to detect cheating with AI on various academic contexts.
There are tools to help detect this and you could always just interview each student on what they turned in and see how they respond in a conversation although some kids might just be nervous to have a conversation with their teacher. I would recommend that you learn how to use Ai as well as detect it. It's not going away and in 2 years it will be even more powerful than today.

For example, AI-generated text or speech can be difficult to distinguish from that created by a human, making it harder to detect plagiarism. Additionally, as AI technology becomes more advanced, it may become easier for students to use AI to generate answers or complete assignments without actually understanding the material. To address these challenges, it will be important for educators to stay informed about the latest developments in AI and to implement new methods for detecting cheating. One example is to use advanced plagiarism detection software and have multiple layers of assessment that can make it harder for students to cheat. I dunno about this, it’s one of those weird technologies which becomes less beneficial as it gets adopted more broadly. Endgame, you will just end up with fake avatars staring at each other, while the real eyes watch Netflix

Hi there! As a videomaker, i'm interested in this software. Sometimes I record with a teleprompter and the eye movement is noticeable. Will this software be available for editing programs like Permiere or After Effects?

Does this new feature also allow you to choose to have the person look away from the prompter and have them look like they are focusing on another person who is speaking.

I want that for Teams! But instead of keeping the eyes fixed I just want the AI to correct the offsetb(!) between the position of the camera and the eyes of the other person my screen.
So it should still be possible to look elsewhere, like in reality.
Being stared in all the time is just uncomfortable for most people.

I can imagine the ways this tech is going to be used in adult industry. In real life, however, it is really unpleasant when somebody bores you with their dark depth of soul for a long time. It would be great if sometimes the eyes looked away just to remove the mental pressure.

Can you please please allow the software to accept to eye correct a video on video upload instead of live webcam? Would be totally useful for editors, we use rtx so would be nice!
Descript already exist i know but it requires subscription and if free can only render 720p.

Wild. The Highlights in the eyes are not as crisp, shiny and bright, compared to the real eyes. That makes it a look a little unnatural. But thats criticism on a high level.

Quite apart from the fact that it's morally dubious (although that we can probably live with)..... why would anyone want to trick people into thinking they're maintaining eye contact at all times?
First, it comes across as unnatural and audacious to not look away at one point or another when you're having a conversation. Constant eye contact is pushy.
Those people in the video look like they're cross-eyed. If they can improve the tech, it might be good for cheating.

Discrimination against strabismus
You can see how fake the eyes are. They're not as clear, more hazy and blurred and often don't stay on the face as normal eyes would. They seem to float with a small delay.
