This is some very cool stuff. And applying it to the blues is essential. Jimmy Bruno once told me that if you learn the blues in all 12 keys, then you can play any jazz standard. Because you have ii-V-I and a turnaround to ii and a turnaround to I.
the origin of this name "christophe" (name used by french) is perhaps the tune "Christopher Columbus."...and the expression "anatole", it probably came from the habit taken in anatomy of calling the skeleton an "anatole" (the harmonic sequence in question being only the skeleton of a piece). According to saxophonist Jean-Claude Fohrenbach (great french musician and master)
I was thinking we have to add the pivots as well to the inversions.... now having said that, my mind went to a different idea with pivots. instead of starting a note and going up from an octave lower, what about reverse? Starting on the top note and go down from an octave higher. I dont think ive tried that. Guess I will be here in a minute! I have also been trying to walk more on the floors of the building instead of just doing the contrary motions more brief visits to the floors
Hey! Can we think of the Bb6 and the B diminished being BOTH diatonic to the C dominant scale??? They both exist in the C dominant scale, and so the overall movement is a F major key, to C dominant key
Hi ! I was wondering, have you done a video about how to approach a diminished chord on the flat third degree ? Like on the bridge from Someday My Prince Will Come (D-7 Dbo7 C-7 F7) or Body and Soul or Night and Day... Thanks !
Hello! Thank you very much for the lessons. Tell me, please, what did Barry Harris say about the optimization of classes? How do I make a lesson plan for the day? Now I'm in Lesson 6 and I need the whole day to get through everything

🎉 thank you so much for sharing 🎉 hope you are well God loves you deeply shalom 🤗🐼♥️✝️💐 Philippians 4:8
I just realized I accidentally wrote a chord progression that sounds very much like that maj6> dom7 movement. Playing iii7 V7 V V13
In french, this movement has a name : a Christophe
And III VI II V is Anatole
The A section of Rhythm changes is 2 Anatole followed by a Christophe.
Interesting. I didn't know that. Thanks for the input.

I got rythm=anatole (for the french musician)
Little secrets of the great masters, thank you.
Barry was full of these beautiful ideas.

Hey Chris, do you know what the scale outline would be for the lady bird turnaround, each chord being 2 beats.

I try to practice things until they are in my hands. I'm a slow learner so it takes longer for me.
@@thingsivelearnedfrombarryh2616 thank you. Sorry for my english
