In psychology there's something called the anchoring technique. It's used when someone has a panic attack and asks the subject to focus on specific things to calm the mind. (For example, can you name 5 things in the room you can see or name 3 things you could touch right now.) Fnatic's coach Mini litterally uses this technique during the 3-11 score to prevent his team from having a panic attack (No wonder when you are losing after being 2 maps up). He asks the team how many ults the enemy has, what abilities they uses and to focus on things you can communicate. It's amazing to see how he anchored the team and mentally got them focuses again. No strats, no screaming, no panic just absolute class from Mini!
Mini reframing the last half of Icebox as a scrim and getting the boys to focus on comms made a huge impact. You can hear it in the 2nd half how much better the calls were and how much the talking stepped it up.

@@MUXJT Nah, I'm not even a Fnatic fan nor do I care about EU vs NA bs. However, this one was definitely better because it meant SO MUCH MORE, and it was against LOUD in Brazil who are coming off of being the previous champs.
@@MUXJT Nah bro the situations aren't even comparable.. The stakes and the situation and the atmosphere and the home crowd advantage. You'd have to be insane to think otherwise.
This win became more significant than it already is just because of how long it took, so many losses yet they still kept going. What a hell of a journey!! Super proud of fnatic.
11:33, unironically the coolest shit I’ve seen in vct
Comms show how valuable Derke truly is. What a performance on Icebox
31:40 their coaching staff introducing a breathing technique to stay calm is such a top tier decision holy shit.
Derke on Icebox proving he's a special player a very special player
23:34 Boaster said seconds after him looking the same as Leo 😂
Congrats FNC! Boaster and Derke are finally crowned. When everyone was cheering for Sentinels in the first LAN, I was that one crushed FNC fan. More trophies to come 🫶
負けそうになっても諦めずに声がけ出来たからこそ優勝出来たFNATICは、世界一位
For me this was by far the greatest pro valo match I've could be a part of! Thank you so much guys and love ur guys emotiones
These VC Comms truly show that its not just a battle of strategy, skill and teamwork, but also a mental one.
hahaha i like how nervous they were ( which is completely understandable) but in icebox in the overtime one said "they dont have ults" 🤣 it was kinda funny to hear it
Derke just try to make sure they all think positive 🤣even he want Leo to scream
This Series is the greatest matchup of Teams and biggest emotional Ups and Downs in Valorant. (so far)
Lets Go Fanatic!
im brazilian and that was the greatest grand final i have ever seen in valorant, good job guys :))
31:27 ohhhhhh this scene, i just love ittttt. look at those sad eyes 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Leo’s face win lose just is priceless you can see the determination but also he just knows he’s better lol
So happy for the boys!
That icebox win is the greatest comeback I've seen!
mini just always full calm and i think it is 1 of the most important thing for coach its very important to calm down your team. 1 of the best coaches ever
12:27 was it nAts's "ayayay" from chronicle?
I got so emotional listening to your comms, especially on the Icebox comeback. You guys did a fcking great job out there! I'm glad I watched the tourney.
The coms on map 5 halftime, and timeout at 3-11, were so great. Straightening up their mind and run it back
This team is just full of character. Alfa is there cracking jokes that nobody understands because of his broken English, Boaster doing megamind shit running his team and keeping the spirit up, Chronicle is always there to swear in Russian, Derke knows others are looking up to him so he is always motivating them and finally Leo is just there sitting in complete silence even after getting insane clutches
Gigachad derke as always. he's very quickly becoming my most favourite player out of all of valorant esports :)
31:28 BROOO that dude in the crowd looked like Fallen
I cant stop watching the comeback clips..
Im just so happy, that fnatic, that ive been rooting for 2 years has finally made it!!!
Awesome team guys! May victory is bestowed upon Fnatic team for the next competitions,
BECAUSE THIS IS FNATIC'S ERA BOYYSSS
I like Derke, how calmly he want to keep the team together, focused and not raging. Thats what a good team member do. KEEP THE TEAM TOGETHER.
dude Derke holy shit hes like the 2nd IGL making sure the team stays together mentally when Boasters down
WHAT A CRAZY WAY TO WIN IT
The whole watch party went nuts 🔥
WE ARE CHAMPIONSSSSSS LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Banger watch party
Banger watch party fr
this is a crime, you have to put the full vid voice comms on the last map, even if it takes 1.5 hour i won't skip this greatest comeback. even tho i'm not cheering FNC right from the first, i do cheer on you at the grandfinal. lastly, derke and boaster call is fckin boost the team synergy, they know the crowd won't cheer them up so they step up for their team, what a great teammates!!!
I always come back to this video when I’m a little low. Sometimes you just need that slight shimmer of hope to get in there and win it no matter how down you are. When no one’s expecting you to bounce back you put all your efforts in and make it possible.
27:52 look at leo's reaction 😆 and compare it with everyone else
he is 100% an introvert is so funny to watch him and the others
he’s so shyyy
Hearing the crowd goes silent after fnatic won is the most blissful thing I swear
That was beautiful, I cried so much at the end I cant even explain. Good job, all of you. I am crying as I write this comment out
I started watching FNATIC when i was 11, it was them playing comp paladins, those were the days, now im 18 and am still watching them, i cant wait to see where they go, favorite team hands down
20:29 right here the moment of 9-3 curse started
11:38 just shows how smart boaster is, he shot because the crowd was getting noisier and cheering and he won them the round with a judge at (10:37)
Watching this live was one of the most stressful spectacles of my life. So proud of everyone apart of this team
The last ice box comeback coms omfg i cant ..i love this team sm they fkn deserved the trophy and they never gave up until they got their hands on it
Fnatic>>>>>
still watching this every time I get the chance, by far the greatest valorant finals ever
31:29 THAT'S WHERE THAT IMAGE CAME FROM LMFAOOO
