It's not always that men harass online but I know a lady who chatted with me and harassed, and since I am an advocate, it is also imperative for me to make people more aware that irrespective of gender, one should take such crimes seriously, and take appropriate action against such menace.Don't ignore or block but take concrete action.

The worst thing about these messages is that when you tell people about this, they give you the worst advice which is to stop using social media. Don't post pictures or keep your profile private. It's like ignoring all the toxic shit in the world and just run and hide

block him, have the police near, don't reveal your location, always keep trusted friends around, etc.

Tell you parents. Block him. If he does really try anything, I'm sure your parents will handle it. If you're an adult, report him (report him even if you're not an adult) and keep people around. Don't be alone.
