Whoooooooooaaaa! Jason Flanzer!! It was really good to see and hear you talking about games again… I’ve missed your content since you stopped playing trolls.
Great deep dive into not just the list makeup but also play style; great to hear both deployment and turn strategies. Super helpful for a new player, thanks so much guys!
Best video to date! Fantastic work! Thank you to Jason for coming on. I really appreciate your input. Some things I would love to see. A break down some of the concepts into some smaller bite sized videos 1) Chaining 2) Knowing your charge rules (In more detail) I really love this idea, but I'm sure I don't grock it just yet 3) When to bring your skorpekhs out from cover 4) Which secondaries are best for scoring and which are best as CP I love the deployment breakdown! Extremely helpful. Please do the same thing for a horizontal face-off map. Also, a full game break down would be very interesting with Jason's commentary.
Love to see this! Extremely good content today my man! Hope you can do this with more players as it gives amazing insight into the minds of great competetive players! Never even thought about the ghost arc as the Facebook necron competetive group seem to think it's absolute garbage, but I suppose it isn't as bad as people think in the right lists :) Awesome to see the almost 3000 subscribers too! Congratulations, and well deserved!
Awesome interview and really interesting list! Would love to see you demo some of these tricks because I don’t 100% understand some of them (like the Ghost Ark play)
Youre a great guest jason! Light critique, that the whole video couldve been a little more structured all around, but kilen, you did a GREAT job as well! Really looking forward to this Warrior vid you mentioned and i wrote about like a week ago! Any chance on getting a points update on the list? Alot of ppl asking
Great chat. Very like my list. I just went 4-1 at the worlds biggest team event. Can you explain what this 'free' reanimation is that was mentioned repatedly. Is it the Ghost Ark ability to which you refer?
I’m trying to re build this list and my points don’t add up. Can we get a break down again who goes with what? Excellent video. I’m going to attempt this now!!
Loved this video. I tried the warrior brick with ghost ark and reanimator stringing from home. The royal warden was an all-star. So much value in fall back and shoot and charge. I was multi-charging every turn and tying up units. Strongly recommend! Would love to see you try it and let us know what you think.
Is there any way you could give units icons a colored border if they have to represent being strung out in the program you use for deployment planning? Would make it easier to track what bodyguards and leaders belong to which units!
@@PNW40K Orikan's 4+ invuln is a leader ability, not an aura. When Jason mentions Orikan's aura at 54:55, he's talking about the fake aura all Crypteks have that gives Scarabs +1 OC so they can do missions like containment.
As others have noted, he mentions a Plasmancer, and with the Plasmancer the points don't quite add up. But he also only mentions one unit of Flayed Ones in the deployment section. So I think the list as displayed needs to be modified as follows: -1 5x Flayed Ones +1 Plasmancer
Wardens are heavily underestimated. 50 Points for a Character that can give his unit Fall, back and shoot, undo Battleshock and his Relic Gauss Blaster Rapidfire 2 and the Blaser deals 2 damage. I assumed players were taken them more often plus he takes an enhancement ( -1 to be hit?) edit: Yes, you did take the -1 to be hit! I listened to the end.

He mentions at 24:25 that Szeras goes in the Ark, which as a novice necron player, I never thought about and also the imagery is really funny.
Zarus or Hexmark
I play something similar to this, but I like the warriors/ghost ark tech over my reliance on wraiths. I might try to fit the warrior tech into my list by cutting 1 wraith package, and the immortals package.

Bravo for your video. Little question, who is his war lord ?
my guess would be Szeras, that dude can tank for real
Thank you so much for this! this is the best content!
A quick question: how do you move this block forward? or does the ghost ark and friends do not move from home objective? If they do move. where do they move to?
Ghost ark always stays back, warriors move up!
can you please post the list? Don't pay for BCP to see peoples list.
This is literally a free master class.
Great show really appreciate it.
@jason, most people don't own 3x3 skorpekhs with lords, if you had to remove one squad, what would you consider swapping it with?
How aggressive are you with szeras? Does he usually hang back and provide aura and as a counter charge threat?
Szeras is absurdly durable and this detachment can pick him back up, so you can usually be very aggressive with his placement
It's actually usually very good for you if you're opponent tries to kill him because they'll basically always fail and it's a huge investment to try. And even if they succeed you can pick him up
Do you try to string both squads to him so they can both get the aura?
what are the bad matchups for this?
Anything very high volume of shooting
Would you consider using TTS for more complicated deployments like this?
Potentially
This list looks so funny. Gona have to get some more warriors!
oh my goodness I have been shooting myself in the foot so hard with awakened. I thought they changed the rez a character strat to be once per game just period. Obviously got to watch out so they die once per phase like you are saying, but man, what a missed opportunity by me.
Jason mentions that when he rolls a 12 with the warriors for a charge, its a pain because now everything that can make base to base has to move, not just the stuff he wants.
Does that mean there's a point in the line where everything moves forward and the rest stays still. Wouldn't that break Coherency, meaning the whole unit shouldn't make the charge?
Not a criticism, a genuine rules question, I'm learning the game and these are some top-tier shenanigans to figure out too.

I LOVE SKORPEKHS
So this list as you’ve structured it doesn’t work. The ghost ark explodes turn one… as a dedicated transport with nothing embarked….
Also, your guest speaks about a plasmancer that isn’t in his list?

Yeah, they covered this, Szeras keeps the Ghost Ark from exploding. And according to another poster above, it's -1 Hexmark, +1 Plasmancer
Also, this guys budgeting on CP is pretty wish casting.
No Overlord and Imotekh, but yet he seems to believe he can res hexmarks in the shooting phase and skorpekh lord in melee phase. Plus also proc assault on warriors, maybe Rerolls to hit on veil unit… not to mention cycling secondaries or using undying legion res strat… sloppy analysis
I think he is just saying he has alot of great options to spend CP on. it depends on the matchup and what is happening and where on the table he needs to be winning.
You mostly start turn 2 with 2-3 cp and kinda just go from there tho, you can ditch a secondary for a cp if you play against a kill heavy enemy list, because they generally won't be so good at secondarys, so you're mostly good. It doesn't mean you can spam cp, but if you have to, you're doing something wrong anyway
