Thanks to this video changed my first dirt bike tire. Been riding off the beaten path and wanted to be able to change a tire if need be. Got the job done and only took me four hours lol. I have a PM bead breaker (broke one side in minutes) but don’t bring it as it’s four lbs. The other side used spoons and couldn’t get the bead to break for the life of me no matter the leverage. I kept on on and finally got it. Then seen the finish line as I aired up tire to seen it wasn’t sitting right on bead in one small section. Aired down re lubed bead and over inflated and pooped right on. My biggest issue was stopping to watch the video. dish soap would dry up fast and working with no lube…it hurt. If you’re slow might want to try a good lubricant. Appreciate your video coming from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
I like to add the valve stem as soon as I put the tube into the tire and add a little air to get any folds out of the tube and give it some shape so I'm less likely to pinch the tube putting on the second side of the tire.
Truly grateful . Thank you for the confidence boosting videos. You rock man!
I just finished doing mine. I refuse to divulge how much time it took. It would have taken longer without your vid. Thanks mate !
This kind of vid makes my internet bill worthwhile
Thank you buddy! The kickstand method you used was the only way l could break the bead on the rear tire. Great video and thanks again!
Now I know why I pay the shop to change the tyre!, ouch, not that easy if you haven't done a few before, but good to do/learn yourself now and then to keep your skill levels up, especially in the remote bush.....life saver...... thanks for the tip's and ride well!
Well done and thanks for the presentation Mate as we are installing a new rear on our " Bush Pig " 👍
No problem 👍
Well done mate! I know how hard this can be. Done it myself a few times. A tip for future is to loose the axel bold before lifting the bike. Also make sure the light side of the new tire is position aligned with the air valve. That would make it easier for balancing it. If a air heating gun is available you can heat the new tire a bit to make it easier to assemble it on the rim 👍
Loosening the axle nuts before lifting the rear wheels will help transfer force.
It is recommended to remove the chain before loosening the nut and pulling out the axle.
Definatley throwing away the tool kit.
Very good diy videos. Will come in handy. Thankyou dirt rider.
Thanks terry

I would like to upload more videos but with bush fires around i would rather wait to the cooler months. I live out south west of Sydney near austral.
I bit the bullet and got filmora9 so far good easy to use.
Keep the vids coming.
Cheers
Thank You for the tip on using the kick stand to break the rear tire bead. The front is no problem, but that rear bead gives me fits. Worst part of the tire change for me is the rear bead. I like the extra width you have added to the kick stand too. Thanks again.
the new tyres look a lot better than the other ones
I’ve started using zip ties. Makes for easier work.
Excellent post, thank you for sharing.
Amazing vid 👏
Great video, thank you
Great video. How do you do this in the field for front and rear without a jack stand?
The front tyre is the one I have problems mounting
Thanks for the comment
It was a bit of a juggle
A second pair of hands helps
Hey Douglas

It shows how I also strugled a bit but in the end success, I hope it helps
Interesting
Thats good to hear ,
Thanks for watching
Do you re use the same tube? Is there any disadvantage?
Good video man
I liked The spit test
Yep its essential
I just messed up my inner tube trying to install the rear tire, and I might messed up the tire too, it’s showing a little bit of wire fro the inner lip 😢
as long as the wire isn't piercing or rubbing the tube it should be good
"dry as a nun's" :P
standard Aussie vernacular lol
Really having trouble mounting the new one
👍👍
Might want to replace the chain lol
👍shes still going lol
I sure do
That was pretty painful to watch. The process is much easier than that.
Don’t waste money on axle grease. I use my wife. She loves helping me work in the shop.
Interesting as a female I feel to could show anyone else how to change a tyre.
