@@K.O240 I feel like if he would have played those big threats earlier the warrior would have Shield slam brawl and then firebat would be very low on threats and then he would draw his useless drops and get crushed by The Warrior. Furthermore if he had drawn those big threats earlier he would have had no choice but to play them to fight for board. I feel like that was about the best draw you could have had against the warrior except maybe the crystology. I'm no expert or Legend player but I feel like baiting out removal from Warrior is very important. I do acknowledge he could have had a better draw but I also think it was an above-average draw for the matchup.
Powerful deathrattles was always problem for warrior - no hex/polymorf/sap to answer cleanly. All Cube decks also had like 80% winrate against any contolish warrior. Honestly, in this matchup, it is correct to brak the egg as soon you'll see one - even if that means 7 in face. If not, pala will copy it dozen times and just crush you.
I spent 30 mins yesterday losing to Control Warrior with Quest Shaman because I played so slow. Lesson learned, kill them quick before T9 and the Dr Value comes into play
A big way to win as quest shaman against warrior (as long as they don't gain 30 armor) is to two turn kill them with barista kobold lackeys 36 damage over two turns.
I have the opposite problem Control Warriors always aggro me down post Dr Boom while I still have Archivist and Shudderwock in hand I have plenty of fuel to outlast them, but I don't have enough removals to stay alive for fatigue to kick in
@@hiyukelavie2396 you shouldn't be playing archivist in shaman, you should be killing people instead with shudderwock post shudderwock. Also saving coin for a double shudderwock is pretty insane in some match ups (anything slow)
@@TheMrDozey Sure, I don't disagree with what you said In fact, what you described is probably the conventional way of building a quest shaman deck But I like teching in Archivist, as it basically ensures I will never lose a fatigue game, and thereby allowing me to choose to go the fatigue route as a win condition in some matches - I find it a worthwhile trade off, one single card that opens up an alternative win condition

And i went from like rank 12 to 5 with quest pally, before the nerfs, and never lost against a warrior.. went about 75% win against mage, about a 75% percent win vs hunter.. always beat rogue, about 50/50 against the mirror (whoever drew into their quest finish first).. about 60/40 against murloc pally.. and about 75% against shaman.. faced one zoo lock, and lost.. and combo priest beat me everytime.. but still.. combo priest is out, mage is out, warrior is even easier now.. the deck needs draw.. but questing adventurer is good in this deck since you can decide when to finish quest.. unlike most other quest decks.. but yeah.. its a good time.. definitely wasnt trash for me.. but i just dont know about this version firebatty.. maybe deck doctor this one.. meh?! The only reason Control Warrior is a problem is because other decks do not have access to infinite value tools and do not have Supercollider to deal with Mountain Giant Conjurer's Calling. Blizzard should just add an infinite value card to each class's basic or classic set so this doesn't become a problem in the future.
No but it can saves you game when it doesn't start so well, like in this case. I play quest paladin for 3 weeks now without it, and still don't know whether I should invest the few dust I have on it or not...

@@blahthebiste7924 NEVER, boring to play and to play against. I played Whizbang, highlander hunter and highland rogue, and wounded warrior rank 8 to 3 this season. This quest paladin deck with the duplication effect is my least favorite to play against.
I have played the Paladin quest deck, and I do find it quite boring and repetitive. But I think that the sheer amount of input you have as an opponent of that deck makes it quite fun to play against. Choosing which minions to kill, weighing whether or not it is worth it to pop some minions even if it puts *more* enemy power in play, and the lack of any burn whatsoever, are all great dynamics to play against.
@@blahthebiste7924 Nah, I do not like to play against either - no matter what deck you play - you have to go aggro, when you'll see quest. Every trade is questionable, sice it's mainly reborn cards hard to full clear, so you have to smorc, or you just give outs to opponent.

The 6 mana 3/4 jellyfish is more likely to give you kangor
But it has far worse stats. a 3 mana 2/3 isn't that bad. A 3/4 on turn six is unimpactful.
