    Yep, that sound comes from a guitar effects pedal called a "talk box." The pedal is connected to Richie Sambora's guitar. When he simultaneously plays the guitar and talks through the talk box tube (which is usually tied or velcroed to a mic for amplification), it creates that robotic sound. Cool pedal!

    Jon Bon Jovi (lead singer) is a good kind man. He owns restaurants, think New Jersey, that feed people who can't afford to pay. When they are short staffed, he does the dishes. And yes, they are having a lot of fun in this video shown by all the smiling.

  • @shannonnevid6826

    He gives back to the community, has a restaurant but donates meals or pay it forward. Recently wanted to help during pandemic and give food to food banks on big scale.From New Jersey and still lives there. Married 30 years but together for 40

    Omg. Thanks for this I loved Bon Jovi then and 40 years later they're still performing. Sing about him and his wife's struggles in the beginning. They're still married over 40 years now. Beautiful

    Jon Bon Jovi is an amazing person. He married his love before the band got popular and they are still together. He built a whole subdivision for the displaced residents from New Orleans when hurricane Katrina destroyed New Orleans and he owns a restaurant that you pay what you want/can. Anyone (including the homeless) are always welcomed to eat a hot meal. They were a top band in the 80s and still perform today. I love listening to Jon's performance of Hallelujah.

    • @nanner3200
      @nanner3200 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe he has a few restaurants now. Even working at them himself during the pandemic. I give a 2nd shout out to his version of Hallelujah. My favorite version of that song.

    Jon Bon Jovi is the lead singer. They have a huge, incredible catalog of music, picking just one is next to impossible. You give love a bad name is fantastic but then so is Wanted dead or alive, and so on. My personal favorite though is Bed of Roses.

    Slippery When Wet came out when my daughter was a baby. 'Bon Joby' was literally her first words. It took until she was 14 til she seen them in concert. The stage was backed by 3 screens, one large that had Jon on it and when they played Wanted Dead or Alive, my daughter was so into it closing her eyes and singing they had her on the side screens. The greatest moment of her young life lol.

    It’s Richie Sambora’s voice and a synthesized microphone making that sound and his six string in hock means he pawned his guitar

    • @ratowey
      @ratowey 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sorry but you`re incorrect, he uses a talk box. This is a pedal on the floor with a tube coming from it, the sound of the guitar is fed up the tube and into his mouth, he then shapes his mouth to change the sound and it is then picked up in the microphone.

    Gotta ask Richie Sambora the guitarist how he made that sound or whether or not it's even guitar. Lotta people try and get that right never heard it the same from anywhere else. My favorite Bon Jovi song is Cowboy outside of their early 80s stuff when they were just jumping on the scene. Daughtry did Cowboy on American Idol and nailed it which launched his career.

    BTW while I have never seen Bon Jovi in concert, I literally ran onto Jon on the sidewalk in the Yorkville area of Toronto. He was heading to the Four Seasons while I was heading home. As he walked towards me he was giving me this weird look. As he passed me, I realized who it was; he was probably wondering if I recognized him. People in the Six don't usually chase famous people down the street. Deeply uncool. Anyway, he is even more gorgeous up close in person.

    If you want to check out more Bon Jovi songs I would highly recommend, Lay Your Hands On Me, I personally think it has one of the best music videos of all time, another great song is Born to my baby which also has an good music video, but one of their most underrated songs is, Wild is the Wind, this song has no official videoclip but is definitely worth it to check out.
    They’ve also made great ballads like, Always and Bed of Roses.
    And if you want to check out their early work I would recommend the songs Runaway, In and out of love, and Only Lonely. Their country songs are also are also great, Wanted dead or alive, Blaze of glory and Dry county are examples.

    Bon Jovi has such a collection of great songs that the average public has not heard like.. "If I was your Mother"... "Damned"..."I Want You"... "I Believe"... "A little bit of Soul"... "Love for Sale"... "Keep the Faith"... "If that's what it takes"... "Hey God"... "These Days"... "My guitar lies Bleeding in my Arms".. "Hearts Breaking Even" and their cover of "With a little Help from My Friends" is great. Most of these songs are off the "Keep the Faith" and the "These Days" albums. I think that's their best albums. They have a great outtake from "These Days"called "Wedding Day" & "Prostitute" which sounds like something Nirvana would have recorded. In my opinion I feel the band fell apart when Richie Sambora left the band and their co-writer Desmond Child left them. Jon's got two great solo albums too. "Always" and "Someday I'll be Saturday night" are great but not hidden treasures. They got airplay. You must dig deeper with them. "Dry County" is an epic song of theirs. There's some greats on "New Jersey" I could go on forever.

    That ooh wah sound sounds like it comes from a talk box. I’d try to explain, but there is a comment a one or two comments down that explains it better than I could. It is an attachment between Sambora’s guitar and his mouth (via tube) that makes it sound like the guitar is talking.

I would like to request you do one of his newest songs. It's not with the band Bon Jovi but it shows a bit about him as a person. It's called "Do what you can" I hope you take this request and do the official version (it's so new I'm not sure there is an unofficial) It was done shortly before vaccines became available. Big hint about the subject :)
