It's mostly Arab and North African and a little Greek but its some amazing food definitely worth the visit

@@victoriap1649 Oh absolutely. This is doubled for me because it makes me feel like a PRICK asking if they have any “gluten free options”. I’m not one of those healthy-food nuts.. I’m just allergic to gluten 😂
@@clownrat5759 i have two coeliac friends, a lactose intolerant friend, a pescatarian friend, and a vegan + gluten free friend (medical reasons, on a trial basis). needless to say we prefer to have our own picnics where we make food ourselves lol

@@verysmartscholar because it’s a dietary restriction a lot of people go through. It’s sad when you go out to eat with friends and there’s no foods there that you yourself can eat
I'm indian and Mediterranean cuisine is my absolute favourite. It is light and flavourful with yogurt and spices. Fresh veggies. I'm salivating right now. If I could choose one cuisine after indian food (comfort food for me) I'd choose Mediterranean.
I see a lot of overlap actually! Stews with rice and a bread and sauces, super flavorful and like a dance party in your mouth, overall pretty healthy, maybe different ingredients but similar styles?😆
That's crazy, because I'm Mediterranean and I feel EXACTLY the same about Indian food. I find it light and very flavorful, with tons of veggie dishes. Also dahi adds a superb fresh touch to everything. And don't get me started on bread.
I love Asian food in general, but none other speaks to me quite as much as Indian cuisine. Maybe because there's some unexpected similarities between both? I don't know.
Yep truly I am indian and I feel Mediterranean food very close to me , I mean though dishes like butter chicken are more popular but they are very new in indian cuisine but if u eat gen indian food from home there is much over lap
Mediterranean is a very broad term, and for some reason it just stuck around in America, usually in Europe you would know if the cuisine is Lebanese, Greek, Turkish, ect., and they all can be very different even though they do share some similarities, so what exactly are you referring to by Mediterranean? The restaurant in this video is Levantine Arabic cuisine.
Indian is my all-time favorite food and I’m Colombian.

Mmmm this reminds me of my Siti’s (grandma’s) cooking. Whenever we go to her house, she makes a TON of food for us and i saw some of the dishes here!

It’s the only place I can actually eat everything and not get heartburn. I just love their fresh food…you canNOT beat the cleanliness and care to which they make those beautiful dishes. We used to live in Texas but had to move to another northeastern cold state temporarily and we miss this restaurant so much. Nothing up here like it. We’ll be back home in 2024, until then, we have to cook many of these things like the lamb falafel chicken and we make the salad but they have it ALL right there.

Edit: I don't know how busy you are while you're here but there's a pretty good Indian buffet called Sitar and an incredible little family owned Italian restaurant called Papa Amadeos! I'd highly reccomend both :D

Demassi's is legit. I used to eat here often when I lived in Houston. The best one imo is the one near NRG stadium. It's so good

this type of buffet seems amazing. and very beneficial for large families. jeanelle good on you for sharing other cultures and foods like this. if i’m honest, i was not a huge fan of the page as it popped up on my page because it seemed like every other food channel/creators, but this is a first. thank you for opening my eyes.

My friend who lives in Dallas took me to Dimassi’s when I was visiting down there last year and I was blown away by how delicious and fresh it was. I’ll definitely be going there again next time I’m in town.
I went to a buffet in Beaufort, NC called Duke's. It is southern food, and the best food I have ever eaten!! And they have everything...down to the banana pudding! And everything was so fresh and tasted homemade!
I live in Florida, and I would drive the 5-6 hrs again, just to eat there! 🤌💋❤
Absolutely 💯 % the best. My go to was the one in Humble TX. I would go almost every day and make a couple meal preps. Food's always fresh and the pita bread is fantastic 👌

It looks delicious and like there's lots of vegetarian options. I wish we had a place like that where I live. It's so hard for me to find good, affordable vegetarian options at the restaurants near me. So far the best thing I've found is the warm grain bowls at Panera. I like the Baja bowl the best.

If you come to Dallas or live in Dallas you should try Andalous, it’s a Mediterranean Buffet, it’s really good. Also try Fadi’s it’s another Mediterranean Buffet.

if you ever visit Minnesota I highly highly recommend you go to this Greek and Mediterranean buffet called Big Marina. It's been my favorite restaurant my whole life and their food is absolutely HEAVENELY. my favorites are the rice, kebab, sharwarma, baklava, falafel, and their cakes.

Mediterranean is my favourite cuisine because 1 it’s delicious and 2 it’s really healthy, the amount of protein in hummus is insane, while it’s less than that of beef, it has a lot less unhealthy fats.
I live in Turkey and most of these dishes are what i eat on a daily basis.It’s so cool to see you try them hope you liked it!

It reminds me of a Mediterranean buffet place near me in the UK. It’s run by Middle Eastern refugees and all the money goes to the local refugee centre. It’s all vegan too, but all the meat eaters in my family (including myself) love it.
