As someone who grew up around animals more than people and picked up some... Mannerisms, especially when I was younger, and growing up in a domestically violent environment, this series continues to heal my inner child.
This was so sweet. It reminded me of when I came out to my parents as nonbinary, which was really scary. I knew that they would learn about it one day, but when they started noticing hints, I knew there wasn't a good time. I wouldn't know how they feel until I actually said something. My parents understood, but they don't know any word in their language to use for my pronouns (they just avoid using female pronouns for me). That's better than nothing so I'm glad they accept me at least.
Also I can't help it now that I'm listening to music. I'm imagining Taki, if he got a phone and headphones for Christmas, just dancing along to whatever song is playing at the time and making Derek and Calvin laugh. And then join in.

I feel the same, I'm out to my family as gay but I'm too afraid to come out as transgender, especially when I always feel like a burden to them, It makes me feel like they'll just say "it's just a phase" or "you're just trying to get attention" plus I just don't know if they'll eventually support me or if they'll just say "you're just saying this because a bunch of kids at your school are doing this and you just want to be included."
At the end with the cute scene of them talking about how much they feel at home I was just zooming around the room while whisper-screaming "cookiessss"
That whole interaction with Justine and Calvin reminds me of that scene in the show called Bertie and Tuca where Birdie and her parent get into an agreement about how they didn’t tell her that the dad had open heart surgery months before.
I hope this video gives strength to all you queer folks who haven't come out, or are in homes where you are unsafe during this time of year. We love you very much and we still support you 💖

When I started this series I didn't have any idea it would blow up into this multi-part romance drama. I didn't think too hard about Nekos tbh; they exist in a grey area where they're not really fully human, so it's not as drastic as having a human child. So no, it's not like looking at a toddler and calling them a pet lol. My advice is don't think too hard about it...because I didn't.
The video is very fitting at the moment. (My parents accept that I am trans but not my aunt. When I have the courage and strength to do so, I will try to explain it... But I know it will be difficult. Because I tried to explain something else and it became stressful...She was angry.
