This is good advice but I also think men and women should be complimented equally. I think I’m personally deserved of quite a few compliments for what I do artistically, but can vaguely remember 5-6 times across my lifetime where I’ve remotely received one.
I always try and compliment people where I can since I know how it feels to get that one compliment on a bad day, and I hope that I’ve helped make someone’s day.
This channel is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you and keep it up!
I think that the sentiment to try and be someone that others recognize as someone worthy of compliments, while simultaneously not being someone who needs compliments and thinking they're worthless assumes infinite self motivation and intrinsic drive. I agree with the idea of doing things for yourself and not for acceptance and appreciation from others makes sense, however to think that Eddie Hull would have been able to do an incredible feat like that with out 1 person telling him he's doing a good job/ to keep going is flawed. You make a great point of why compliments matter and stick with people, however you're underestimating the support and love that goes behind the compliment. The context of which the compliment is given and who its from matter immensely. There isn't a single person capable of doings things entirely on their own; 100% independent or self reliant. Us as human beings are people who need each other, who should bring up others around them with love and kindness. Help, encourage, appreciate one another's goals.
just remember, someone will always be better at you at anything. if you are better than most, give them a compliment, you may save a life, you may make someone happy or content with themselves. binging aight videos again during my monday at 1 am existential crisis.

Many people are all "starved" of many different things. Everyone has their own challenges, their own set of advantages and disadvantages. some things can be changed, some cannot. So be grateful for the things you have in excess, and appreciate the moments in which you get something that seems to be a rarity only to you

I dont deserve to be complimented, whenever people compliment me i dont feel anything and i believe they are lying. Any time anyone compliments me i start to not like them because i feel like if they lie about that then what else would they lie about?

And... About the man problem, the simplest answer's normally the right one. Don't overthink it. Life's too short to spend time trying to understand what's inside someone else. Their world and ur world are completely different. We all create our " universe " through sensations, smells, colors etc. Just keep it up, if you like someone, say it to them. once you build yourself into someone that deserves compliments, do they even matter anymore. im not sure if id rather be yearning for one singular miniscule compliment, or be good enough to receive thousands and have them mean nothing. once you become "good enough" to receive a compliment, do you even feel validation from it? most likely the compliment becomes devoid of all meaning, feeling, or emotion to you.
life isnt 0 or 100 , receiving compliments during the process matters
