Wow, what a detailed tutorial! I've always been fascinated by wood carving, and this video really breaks down the process step by step. The instructor's clear explanations and demonstrations make it seem so approachable, even for beginners. Can't wait to give this a try myself!
Alex, it's great to get fresh air, and outside summer is too short I'm finding you as a teacher has improved or I've speeded up in my comprehensive skills. I'm busy, but I'm sure this late fall, things will be better to carve. I'm removing half of the carpet in my sun room that is on the southeast side, so it gets any sun all day. I'll have a great place for carving. Thanks for teaching and inspiration
I was gifted a flex cut carvin jack years ago. Now discovering your channel I started a new hobby. These vids on your channel has started me to whittle. Really enjoying it! Funny request: could you do a vid like this on whittling a skull?
Thank you so much for this series. I spent most of my free time this week practicing the eyes, nose, and mouth. I've leveled up, and I just received your book today so I can learn more.
I have a question, I'm just getting started. I have a lot of air dried pine will that work for carving and should I soak it to soften it back up. I've really been enjoying your videos.
Thank you so much for all your time helping us carvers get better. God bless you Alec.
God bless you Chris!!
Reviewing the basics is so very helpful and necessary to keep proficient. Thanks!
Indeed!
Thanks for these, I went back and adjusted a recent carving I did to make the mouth a little better. Happy I didn't paint it yet.
Oh good! Glad to hear it was a help!
I love watching your videos. It’s like watching someone release an actual person who was stuck in a block of wood. Really beautiful.

Большое спасибо.Очень хорошо обясняете. Ещё размер в миллиметрах озвучивайте,а то пересчитывать сложно.
I know you’ve been doing this a long time but damn you’re good. I’ve only been at it three years, so this is very helpful thank you.
My pleasure and thank you!
Thanks again. I just watched the Eyes, Nose and Mouth, AND I subscribed to your channel. Thank you, and God bless you.

Soaking could help!
Although I haven’t done that myself!
Hey Alec, do you have any advice for eucalyptus? I found a downed tree and snagged a bunch of logs but I’m hearing it’s not great for carving.
I wish I knew! I haven’t carved it!
استاد الان روی چه نوع چوبی کار میکنی؟
