I love how Pizza Tower is just a silly funny game about silly funny guy climbing the silly funny tower to fight the silly funny pizza but then you have these emotional masterpieces
Remuber back to playing Pizza Tower for the first time. Wacthing the funny little stressed chef man? Did you ever think it would get to this point? A 6 minutes comic about the funny chef having realistic life stopping anxiety and depression, dub on TH-cam by a person who I would guess lots of people know as the pizza tower dubbing guy. It's good stuff just wanted to stop and think about that.
I'd imagined Peppino would be like this. Like he probably had so many people piss him off before the Pizza Tower tragedy Peppino had to face, he probably had to deal with lots of other problems before
I think this is supposed to be after the in game events. Peppino getting pissed off by the beeping of the cash register is definetly PTSD from War. The ringing of the timer also because of War.
Well the tower is still up at the end. Even though my theory is that this happened after he destroyed the tower. The destroying of the tower doesn't explain however that you can still play all the levels
Going off the theory of “Peppino was an actual war Veteran,” I think this comic takes place before the game. It explores why the Pizzeria means so much to him; besides the tower definitely collapses after you escape it, Mcpig just lets us gamers replay the game after we beat it(so, I think it’s not canon).

Pizza Tower Game: Funny Italian man beats up funny pizza Pizza Tower Comics: Middle-aged war veteran grapples with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and PTSD
I can see how much I can relate to Peppino having a hard time making the pizza. He tries his hardest hoping he won’t let his customer down but worries that his past still seems to haunt him and is terrified of his restaurant getting shut down. But it’s good to see that he still was determined on finishing it, and his customer telling him to not be hard on himself and knows he can still do it is possibly the most heartwarming thing we have ever gotten on Peppino’s character development.
i love the way peppino's fear of timers is represented here, from the loud beeps of what he remembers as the bombs back in the war, to the simple ticks of an egg timer.
This might be one of the greatest Pizza Tower comic dub i've ever seen. Not only is your performance godlike as always, but the comic itself accentuates how hard it is to do anything with an ungodly amount of anxiety and fear on your back. Peppino's PTSD from whatever war he fought, mixed in with how he thinks he'll never be as good as his father, even though his memories show that Papa Spaghetti was totally chill, Peppino is being so hard on himself, and ultimately THAT'S what's preventing him from becoming the chef he always dreamed to be. I also loved the little montage at the end, showing Peppino at his restaurant, eating a slice of his pizza pie, and instead of degrading himself for putting too much sauce, he chuckles at it, it's like his ma said. "Please be kind to yourself."
I love this, I know that in the actual game, Peppino in these comics, or AU, feels so real and has such a good arc. It also is probably the best at showing that the context of Peppino as a war veteran can still work, with how here, it shows how much he's recovered, to where you could make the argument that in the game, he's less running around like a maniac because of him being a war veteran, and more because of the determination he's gained along his journey of self improvement. I'm probably reading way too deep into this, but hey, it's a good set of comics.
Actually I think that's the point of the comic showing that pep has fully recovered from the war he is officially a war veteran and I think this is possible before the game
the lore here is really deep but feels somewhat straghtforward and teaches lessons in certain ways that some people don't really understand man Peppino must be getting a lot of hugs if he were *real.*
If they had made canon that Peppino was a war veteran, it would have given the character more background, explaining why he doesn't bother using weapons much and would also explain his paranoid personality
Well, he only comes across a wartime weapon 5 times throughout the game (Vigilante, Don’t Make A Sound, WAR, Pizza Head, and Crumbling Tower Of Pizza), and he picks them all up. Though, it’s debatable whether this is because he wants to or has to, as each instance is required to beat the level. But you can clearly see that look of determination on his face when he picks up the shotgun.
@@gladoseon4117 for vigi, it isnt really required, he could have just beaten the shit out of him, but again for balance reasons they had to give him a gun and also at any moment where he can he will leave the weapons
@@krasistefanovlol in the final boss of Pizza Tower, when you fight Vigilante, he never opens himself up to attack, forcing you to throw Gustavo at him. His behavior is exactly the same as the first fight, so Peppino does need the gun, otherwise he couldn’t deal damage. But yeah, you have a point.
@@gladoseon4117 lore-wise since vigi is just a cheeseslime with gun skills and a cool hat peppino could have pretty easily just grabbed him and slammed him against the wall

I love that he wanted to get unpasteurised milk likely to make his own mozzarella. He is much better than he thinks just by having this desire to have traditional Italian cheese in his pizza
This is so depressing yet so uplifting. Even in your darkest moments, there’s always a silver lining. The art and voice acting is sooo good too! Keep up the good work!
You don't wanna know how hard I cried after watching this. I have been in very bad situations before that made me relate to him and seeing how he acted close to what I did just made me feel so not alone 🥺
I feel bad for peppino He literally went through a big Tower with, like, over 30 levels and 5 boss fights This man has more anxiety than I don't know who to compare him to.
This is one of the best few characterizations of Peppino I've ever seen in a comic to be honest. Even if everything is going terribly in your life, you can know that not everything is bad, life is full of ups and downs, maybe you can't predict what will happen next, but at least you can continue, move forward and never distrust, because you know that the perfect moment will be there when you least expect it...
i like how the fanon for pizza tower is literally just “peppino is a complete emotional train wreck and the events of the game is him at his lowest of lows”
I could actually see that. And, call me crazy, but maybe we can also add laps (2, 3, 4, 5 and so on) to the equation. Why? Well; as we can see here, Peppino very much thinks lowly of himself. He sees himself as incapable, untalented, unable to do anything. So when you have the laps, think of it as him seeing an opportunity to "prove himself" when in reality, it's a trap where he gets ambushed. And so he goes on lap 2, lap 3, lap 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 15, 20... he's going mad.
I love how the comic slowly got more colors, from at the beginning where only red can be seen showing panic or stress, and then in the flashback where the world was full of color and the best part was the ending where everything slowly gains color until just like childhood, Peppino’s world is colorful again
Peppino having sensory overload at the store spoke to me. As someone who has sensory over in places like arcades and walmart, this detail made me a bit emotional. Both you and the comic artist did a great job!
