Love Calista, superb actor. Brothers and Sisters was great in its own way and totally got me, but Ally McBeal is special to me in so many ways I just know another show wont even come close any time soon. This woman has got such great timing and more than once has had me in tears laughing, and she kind of reminds me of myself when shes talking. Whatever that means. Anyway, love her.
@@sonalm1208 youre not alone : ) I love that you love it too. I recently bought series 1 and s2 £1.99 each on DVD after posting this comment. I took them to my grandmas who has dementia and she loves it. We watch it together. Its added a whole new level to my fondness. I just wish more people watched it, nowadays. Its not on Netflix. @@Im_skully well I watched them all on TV as they were airing in the late 90s/2000 back then. Ive watched them since, years back and still not rewatched the DVD I bought, but seasons 1&2 are the best personally. RDJ was good in s4 and there are some real good episodes and highlights in between but (and I hate to admit this as I adore the show overall) theres something missing for me. Its nothing I can pinpoint but on originally viewing and since I get left with the same impression so Ive gave them all multiple rewatches at different points in my life so I just know thats my take and it aint changing. Seasons 1 and 2 flow the best and everything good about the series was established in these 2 seasons. The rest have some great redeeming qualities and special moments and even new characters that were great, but underused and some that were grating and overused. Theyre still good series but the 1st 2 are just golden TV. But I adore Calista and she never fails to make me smile even on the episodes I find her underused in later on... No offence. I hate saying this about *still* one of my all time best shows.
@@mikeokeeffe4692 yeah, i actually agree with you that seasons 1&2 are great as well. And even season3. Iwas just so drawn with the romance between rdj and calista"s characters, their chemistry is the best.
After reading portias book i learnt that the ally cast didnt really gel like many of our fave shows. I was sad learning that. Might be why ellen didn't speak about ally mcbeal or portias connection
purplemonkey yeah, our loss. The Queen/Press Sec Cat Grant. Actually the animal game that Calista's family play makes sense given Liam's age and starting school. (I'd like to think that's how Cat would teach Carter when he's a toddler). Also her TV shows are somehow spaced after every 4-5 years. McBeal(1996-2000), B&S(2005-2011) and SG(2015-2016)
Calista is quite a reserved person and she's sooo cute... well, I don't think Ellen welcomed her well and about the wine thing she made ballista feel a bit uncomfortable I dunno they were quite cold to each other and weird I think they were quite uncomfortable
Gee, seems like Ellen & Calista weren't clicking except for maybe towards the end when Ellen made an exceptional effort to draw Calista out & even got some laughter from her which seemed genuine. Just feels like Calista is a VERY private person & that unless you've got hot topics in common with her on "surface" issues there's a conversation, otherwise there's not much going on.......
So many haters.... leave Calista alone... She's great!

Try Ally Mcbeal Season4 too, luv it. Just prepare yourself for a heartbreak in the end though.

Happy birthday calista from italian boy live in rome and I m fan of this wonderful series
I always wondered if Calista was ever on Ellen, and lo and behold, she was! She's so cute and soft, I just love her.
I wondered the same thing. She's a very private person but I miss her already. Hope she has a new project after Supergirl.
Me too! But I don't think she cares all that much if she works regularly or not (our loss). Her family seems to be the most important to her.

Lol my name is also Calista!!
@AyakoTachi ikr!
After that, Ellen was like : Can you introduce me to Portia 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
She reminds me of Ellen Pompeo.
to me she is more like Michelle Pfeifer in some moments.
gee i still see her as...ally.
why would they mention Portia? What happened? and omg I LOVE Brothers and Sisters
Yeah that was super weird!
@Veridissima Me too!
i came here in hope that ellen might mention portia...and she didnt :(
SiHaNnI I thought that too. Portia says hi or .. something
Marry me Cal... love u so much. wish i could kiss u.
They're married actually. Four years now.
These two don't seem comfortable with each other.
They didn't even talk about the show
P like Portia, i was afraid!
"from brothers and sisters" I thought she would start singing Madonna's song "keep it together" lol
Calista is nothing else than ally. I see ally in her, and I never will see anything else in her :D
Michaela Charvátová watch Brothers n Sisters and season 1 of Supergirl. This lady is super talented.
She didn't even mention Portia?????
Why was that soooo awkward? And no mention of Portia?
Cindy, this is bones. Would you run from Calista Flockhart?
Scary movie reference haha I love it
@empath128 huh?
Is she really 46!????
ok x)
No it doesnt
Wanna see Calista eat out Ellen -- I mean go eat out with Ellen.
Is that a ten year old girl?
Ah, kind of painful to watch... great actress though
calista is so frikin cold and quiet.
I see her as an older, depressed, boring Ally.
