I was enjoying the vid until YOU GRABBED THE BUTTERFLY BY THE FREAKIN WINGS. Never do that. Didn't they explained at the entrance to never touch a butterfly? their wings are super fragile and sensitive, they have powder on it and if you touch them you rub the powder off and injure them. Please never touch butterflies. The poor things... You got me screaming murder just then.

Incorrect, you will not kill it doing that. Biologists do it all the time to examine them, holding them for a few seconds won’t do much damage

That is so neat! I rmbr they had something similar when we visited Washington DC back in the day @ the Smithsonian I believe. Looks like you guys had some great family time!

I remember going here! A butterfly flew right into my mouth, and I ate it. After that… I never really lost the taste for them. I almost emptied the whole conservatory, like a banquet! Even now, every time I see a butterfly, I lob my entire body towards it to catch it in my mouth. Suprised you didn’t give it a try.
