Following your channel now. Been kayaking the a few times this year. Been concerned about river kayaking and being sweaped down river but this flow looks so slow. Seems manageable? Carpentersville you said?
Thanks for the follow! The summer months the flow is quite manageable. This is the carpentersville stretch flow really isn’t an issue outside some of the choke points. Really the wind is the worse issue blowing you upstream most of the time
Hi BMT where do you put in? I need a ramp I have the same kayak as addicted but mine is on a trailer. Do you think the river will be blown out this weekend
The only ramp on this stretch is fox river shores forest preserve. River levels are still manageable right now for kayaks but the water might be super muddy. Would be a good crankbait bite. I wouldn’t trt topwater
