I also am always happy to see you've released a new video, especially this series! Sky Island is really neat, and I hope the developer continues to update! Please keep making videos if/when you have the chance but take care of yourself first!
Your updates are definitely some of my favorites. I never played CDDA, but it's very interesting to follow your playthrough. Hoping to get to see what a powerful character looks like in this game.
I was diagnosed ADHD much later in life, slipped right through the cracks all the way to rock bottom. My diagnosis was the start of a turnaround so drastic that sometimes I think maybe I had a psychotic break back there in the dark old days and everything since has been an escapist delusion. I met a new me, one I never suspected existed. And I was sick to death of the old me. I was hanging in by a thread. I suspect I'm also on the spectrum. All my best friends have been very neurodivergent, which isn't why I think I'm on the spectrum but is one piece of the puzzle. And they found me; I didn't find them. And they've kept in touch and made it clear that the friendship is alive, even though I disappeared off the map for about 10 years. I lived in a tent for almost a year about 2 hours away from Darwin, too depressed to move it even though fire ants sometimes invaded en masse. Sometimes tropical storms would flatten it on me, sometimes the bottom of the tent was 6 inches of water, sometimes it was like 115F with high humidity. I just sat in a camp chair or lay on my cot, wanting to be somewhere else, someone else. Now I am. Chin up, mate. It's a new season.
@DirtyDerg I'm not sure. I think I let go of my hopes and dreams. Nothing keeps you as miserable as hopes and dreams. I've been enjoying my life ever since. Not a very helpful answer, but it's a mystery to me, too.
There are some generic island upgrades that work like tech levels and unlock further upgrades. I think you might only get access to the next one when you pass the 10 expedition threshold and lose the free healing? I remember getting a message when that happened, but I can't remember what exactly it said.

Jesus christ, what brought you back?

Pain has been way TOO debilitating already making it worse is just ridiculous.
Damn it’s been so long since I’ve thought about CDDA, cool video tho
