The series was great, perhaps not perfect, but great. However, Machiavelli's portrayal was utterly perfect.
I actually tried to read The Prince years ago. I seem to recall that Machiavelli describes Cesare Borgia (Valentino) as a perfect prince who nevertheless fails.
Do peremohi!
the only flaw he saw was he wrote that he was a prince that acquired power by virtue of another (his father). So a 90% endorsement!
I think you'd rather like his "Discourses on Livy." It's actually written like a proper political science treatise, & it advocates a more balanced perspective. Granted, Machiavelli's disdain for the common folk is still prevalent, but he adheres to Roman-style republicanism, which means a balance between the common folk, the aristocrats, & the monarch.
I read it in College its really interesting
I have read that "The Prince" was written by Machiavelli as part of requesting a position with a Prince. If so I
would say the style and subject matter would fit. The Prince reads like an introduction to a subject for further
careful study....
Лучшего сериала нету, артисты все,как один талантливые и очень красивые!!! Спасибо за фильм!!!

His book The Prince is worth reading
@@Trump20-24 How do you think I've come to know him lol
@GabrielRodriguesYT for me all, though I'm from Oslo Norway now living in America I'd say George Washington back home I'd say Erik the Red
why he is so old here Machiavelli is like only 6 years older then Cesare
like how he understood what it took to be a leader. just imagine his reaction if he met vlad the impaler, he'd be more fearful of dracula more than cesare borgia.
Machiavelli would've had a mixed reaction towards Vlad the Impaler. Vlad did things that would've impressed Machiavelli, but also did things Machiavelli would've frowned upon. While Vlad used fear, it was at times borderline hatred, and Vlad used Mercenaries, which Machiavelli would not have been impressed by.
@@type026 auxiliary **
@@type026auxiliary... I guess. Also, Machiavelli had been fond of medici princes
@@artofwrick They're worse than Mercenaries, either way.
@@artofwrick He despised the recent ones at his time, other than Lorenzo the Magnificent. The intro/dedication at the beginning of his book was an insult to the Medici that imprisoned him.
Amazing! I am a big fan of your work.
He's so cool!!!
This is a good compilation.....of Machiavelli.
A lesson for common people, a political lesson for some.....
Can you make it with gulia farnese? And rodrigo borgia?! That's fire!!
They need to make a movie/show about him
