SuperDuperSabrina the concept of the city of Atlantis is covered in history. it's a mystery that has never been completely figured out but artifacts tell us about a place called Atlantis that had really advanced technology but eventually was destroyed in one way or another. But this movie just took that idea and ran with it :) most people think Atlantis was a myth or legend, but it is documented in history, including by plato.
Ah, Atlantis: the Lost Empire. One of the most underated Disney films and yet still a favorite amongst Disney fan including myself.
